My favorite bakery we visited during our time in Copenhagen. The buns and the coffee were very delicious. We came back 3 times during our week staying in the neighborhood.

Excellent cardamom buns and coffee, wonderfully warm staff, and a laid-back, inviting atmosphere. A real gem!

AMAZING service. The woman working yesterday (Saturday) was so kind to us and took so much time with us as nervous/unknowledgeable tourists to explain the different pastries offered in the bakery. Also, given how expensive bakeries are in Copenhagen, Galst was much more affordable and frankly DELICIOUS!

Came close to closing to try the cinnamon and cardamom rolls. They did not disappoint but are no Juno. That being said, they are cheaper. They gave us two extra rolls because they were closing soon so very much appreciated!

Small but fine selection of breads and pastries. I recommend the Cinnamon Buns.

The Galst bakery delivers a first-class experience – both in terms of the quality of the baked goods and the friendly service. I tasted their BMO (brown sugar with lots of richness!), a classic cinnamon roll and an exciting variant with lemon and birch bark. Everything was freshly baked, delicious and full of flavour. The BMO was soft and spongy with a perfectly caramelised surface – exactly as it should be. The cinnamon roll was rich in flavour and had just the right balance between sweetness and spice. The lemon and birch bark roll was a really positive surprise; fresh, slightly tart and with a little crunch from the birch bark – a really good combination! And insanely good cappuccino! The staff were smiling and welcoming, and you feel welcome from the moment you walk in. You can feel that love is put into both the craftsmanship and the customer service. All in all a fantastic experience – highly recommended!

So so good. Amazing sourdough and cardamom buns. I've been coming here on and off since they opened and I've compared their sourdough to a ton of the bakeries here in an A/B test. I would say they're an easy tie with Juno
