Gastro No 8 Varde

Four of us ate here and were a bit skeptical at first because the restaurant was almost always empty when we walked by. But since the dishes appealed to us the most, we ultimately decided to go there. And what can I say? We were surprised and had a very good meal. We ordered two grilled dishes (one with a special request), one crispy chicken burger with sweet potato fries, and one premium steak with fries. The meat from the grill and the steak were cooked to perfection, the burger meat was super crispy, and the sweet potato fries were also nice and crispy. Our special request was also fulfilled. Everything was really delicious and the portions were plentiful. The service was very friendly and attentive, and we didn't have to wait long. We can't understand why the restaurant is so unpopular and would definitely eat here again.

Delicious and cozy, we were almost the only ones there, they were super nice, welcoming and the food was delicious.

I tried the shooting star, two fish fillets, salmon, and shrimp. Unfortunately, it was very average; the fillets were frozen, and nothing seemed particularly fresh. The waitress seemed unenthusiastic. She wasn't friendly either. A shame. Bad luck.

We made a reservation for five people, including one toddler and two dogs, sat outside, and had a great meal. We were here for the first time in June last year. The service was excellent, fast, and the menu was also available in German. We came here for a burger, and the food was simply fantastic! The selection of burgers is plentiful, and the burgers, fries, and dips are delicious and plentiful. We were completely full, satisfied, and would gladly return.

We dined there with our friends and family after our civil wedding, and it was wonderful, delicious, and the service was simply fantastic. Thank you so much!!! We will be back.

Been here already 2nd time in 2025. Was great again. Friendly and quick service, tasty burgers for all ages. We'll meat again!

The restaurant is beautifully decorated, and the ambiance is truly wonderful. Unfortunately, the food doesn't quite live up to the quality, and service was quite slow, even though it wasn't that busy. Overall, we found the price/performance ratio a bit too high.

Very friendly staff. Our order was taken quickly, and the food arrived promptly. However, it was also fairly busy. The portions were very generous, and the various dishes were both visually and tastefully delicious. Only one dish, which was supposed to be made with truffles, wasn't convincing. The truffle flavor wasn't detectable. We were all very full, which is certainly to be expected for the prices. We paid 2,228 kroner, or just under €300, for eight people (four adults and four children) for meals with side dishes and just (!!!) one drink each.

We've been to Gastro No 8 twice already, and both times it was great. The burgers are highly recommended! The selection of dishes is limited, but that speaks volumes about the quality and freshness. The selection of drinks is also good and leaves nothing to be desired. We'll be back.
