Gastro No 8 Varde

We were a group of seven at Gastro No. 8. Our order was taken quickly, and we didn't have to wait long for our food. We had burgers, hot wings, onion rings, and fries. Everyone really enjoyed their meals, and the portions were perfect. The prices are a bit steep. However, the service was excellent, and we had a lovely evening. Thank you, and keep up the good work!

A very nice and cozy restaurant. Due to high demand, advance reservations are recommended. Otherwise, you risk not getting a table, especially on weekends and with a larger group. We (7 people) were greeted very warmly (the staff spoke excellent German) and were shown to our table immediately, making us feel comfortable and welcome as soon as we entered the restaurant. We didn't have to wait long at the table before the staff came and took our order. The food was also prepared and served very quickly, even though the restaurant was already quite busy at that time (5:30 pm). Excellent and fast service. Keep it up! 😉 The food was absolutely delicious. The burgers (Texas BBQ Burger and Chicken Burger) and spare ribs are especially recommended. The meat on the burgers was perfectly crispy and flavorful, and the spare ribs were so tender they practically fell off the bone. Compliments to the chef! 😀 This is exactly what a perfect restaurant visit should be like. We can definitely recommend this restaurant and would gladly return ourselves on our next vacation.

As a family of four with extensive dining experience, we dined there for dinner and, despite the rustic ambiance and unfortunate staff shortage that weekend, were pleasantly surprised by the excellent food and very friendly service. We had two different pasta dishes (including the original carbonara!), a burger, and fantastic, melt-in-your-mouth spare ribs that weren't swimming in sauce, as is unfortunately often the case. The coleslaw was also clearly homemade and light. Had we not dined there on the last evening of our vacation, we would have returned several times that week. We cannot confirm the rather mixed reviews from previous reviews, especially since we tried several restaurants in Blåvand that week.

Great place, been there twice this week. The food tastes good, and the service is just fine, even when busy the food arrives fast. A minus is the missing flexibility, i asked to have only one beef in my burger (200gr.) instead of the normal two (400gr.) to awoid foodwaste. The message was that the kitchen didn't wanna do that.

Our annual holiday this year took us to Blåvand once again. Restaurant: A glorified chip shop disguised as a restaurant. The food was okay, but nothing special. Service: Friendly, but inattentive. The order had to be rectified three times because items were missing. However, this was taken care of immediately and in a friendly manner. Atmosphere: Simple, but cozy. Conclusion: If you don't expect anything fancy and are happy with simple cuisine, you can eat well here.

The atmosphere is great, a lovely place. However, as is so often the case in Blåvand, the price/performance ratio isn't right. The staff seemed slightly annoyed; we received an unfriendly look from the waitress because we returned something we hadn't ordered. The burger was quite good, but you can get significantly cheaper and better pizza elsewhere in town. I'm willing to pay more, but then the quality has to be there. One more thing: when paying by card, the waitress couldn't tell me or show me the exact amount of the bill. The receipt was simply torn up and crumpled up without any prompting.

The food was okay 👌 The portion was also sufficient. The price is a bit high, though.
