It all started quite nice. At some point some (or all?) of the waiters were gone without saying anything, so when we decided to order a dessert we could not get anyone and had to go to the bar to find someone. An unfriendly lady came and took an order for 2 cheesecakes, after we waited for 20 minutes for it and asked her, she said we have to wait. In the end we had to find the wardrobe lady who finally brought it. When I asked her what happened she said, all waiters are gone as they have an emergency in another restaurant. Overall unpleasant experience especially at this price point. I do not recommend it to anyone.

Went to Esmees after a spa treatment at Amazing Spaces. The garlic bread was good, but over cooked. The ribeye had gristle and was hard to cut (the poor steak knife may have been part of the problem) - it was odd that the steak was curled up and not flat. I eat a lot of steak in the US, and I had not seen that before. The green beans were good- but very garlicky. My fries were good- nice and crispy. My friend got the turbo, which she loved. We split the ‘apple pie’. The whip cream on top was hand made, which I like, but it was also not sweet- which I did not enjoy. I felt like I had too much of that instead of the sweet ice cream. The service is good and spot is an elevated vibe with a great view.

The service was outstanding and we had a great table with a view of the Square. The lunch serving of turbot was hot and well prepared and we enjoyed a nice bottle of Chardonnay. The price was a bit high for the value, but it was a lovely experience.

Amazing food - poussin super tender and juicy, Albufera sauce was delicious and Mac’n’cheese super comfy but elevated with truffles. Green salad super tasty - fresh and crunchy. Yummie apple pie. Staff very friendly and the serving was on point. 🙌🏻 We’re definitely coming back!

I’ve eaten at Esmée quite a few times now. What I like best about it is the atmosphere: lightning, decorations, cutlery, clientele, the open kitchen where you see the chefs cooking, the beautiful almost trippy basement with the restrooms next to the wine cellar… it’s like it’s all curated perfectly! A few drawbacks or negatives though: Last time I was there, we were waiting very long for our starters, although the place was far from full. Then later, when we ordered dessert and coffee, the coffee arrived promptly but they forgot our desserts. So really quite unimpressed with that. A minor thing, but worth mentioning as well: We couldn’t find their wine list online their website, so we had to sit with their huge booklet and pick something out on the spot - would have been nice to be able to do beforehand. A few dishes worth trying: The oysters - best I’ve had in a long while! The rotisserie poussin - perfect for sharing and delicious. All in all this is a fun place to go, but price vs experience doesn’t really match!

Super stylish and nice place. However, the food was absolutely not flashy compared to The rather high prices. Chips with dip as a snack was almost like buying coarse chips from Rema 1000 with a full-fat creme fraiche. Vongole risotto was OK without impressing, very small portion and too much salt for my taste. Expectations were otherwise high after having tried one of Sovino's other restaurants (Ambra) which really does well.

The welcome at the entrance is friendly. The interior has a stylish and simple decoration. However, the lighting should be a little more, you cannot see the dishes and the menu clearly. The food presentation is stylish, the ingredients are fresh. However, the salt content is high. I think the waiter was not in his day and insisted on not understanding some things.
