Simple beach kiosk with catering, good generous ice cream but unfortunately only vending machine coffee

Nice Belgian waffle, but the coffee was rancid from sitting in the pot for too long.

We've been spending our annual vacation in Gjellerodde for several years now, and we've often planned to attend an event at "Odden," and this year we did. The "Flæskestegs aften" (Flæskestegs aften), and what can I say? It was so good. When we arrived, there was already a long line out the door. Typical for Denmark: first, say "Hej" and your first name for the reservation, order and pay for drinks, and then head to the table. The meal consisted of fantastic roast pork, fresh boiled potatoes, a truly delicious freshly cooked red cabbage, chips (yes, chips are a must in Denmark for a meal like this), brown sauce to dig in, and an absolutely amazing red cabbage salad. Everything was constantly being refilled, hot, and well-seasoned. The "Odden" was completely sold out, as we've seen so many times before. After this evening, we also understand why, and why so many locals regularly eat there at the events. The food and atmosphere are incredible and when you consider how much effort goes into the menu, the price is completely justified.

The staff was really very nice. But the food, unfortunately, wasn't to our taste. Everything was overcooked, and the fries were very oversalted. But everyone has different tastes, of course. Unfortunately, it wasn't for us.

Really good food. Tables outside could be better in terms of. Wiping. Will definitely come again.

Excellent food, and large portions for the price. It is recommended to book a table as it is often full.
