04/07/2026: The food was very good quality. We had to wait 20 minutes. The service was very polite.

01/07/2026: We were here on Tuesday, July 1st, and were very satisfied. We had the plaice with a side salad (even with edamame!) and good crispy fries. You can also buy crab as an extra. Instead of the usual remoulade, they served an Asian-style sauce, which was absolutely delicious. It was attractively presented and tasted great. Even as someone with allergies, I had no problems (a remoulade without onion and cucumber made me very happy). They even brought me a small bowl of ketchup with the fries upon request. And we were allowed to bring our Norwich Terrier out onto the terrace (dogs aren't allowed inside). The waitresses who served us were very friendly, helpful, and efficient. The terrace is nicely sheltered from the wind by the high wooden railing. We would definitely come back.

03/08/2026: If you visit Thyborøn, Restaurant Mallemukken is definitely a place worth stopping by. The restaurant is decorated in the most unique maritime surroundings with old fishing boats and lots of history, which gives it a very special atmosphere. You can clearly feel the connection to the sea and the city's proud fishing traditions. The menu offers fresh fish dishes, classic Danish favorites and delicious café dishes, where the ingredients taste fresh and the portions are good. Especially if you like fish, there is a lot to look forward to. The staff is friendly and welcoming, and even when it is busy in the summer period, they do their best to give the guests a good experience. Whether you come for a good lunch, a nice dinner or just want to enjoy a cup of coffee with a view of the harbor environment, Mallemukken is an obvious choice. A cozy place with lots of atmosphere, which fits perfectly into a day of adventures in Thyborøn. Definitely worth a visit!

31/07/2026: We were there for lunch. The first serving of fish fillet, fish cakes and squid rings unfortunately tasted like they had been heated in a convection oven.

14/08/2026: A real pearl we discovered during our Denmark roundtrip. The first clear 5 star restaurant so far (Kopenhagen ahead of us). Wide offer on fish and meat dishes but for sure on an elevated price level. Nevertheless the quality of the food was extraordinary. Each dish of the fish plate was unique, it was not just a simple combination of fishes but each one was special recipe. Steamed fish with leek topping, on skin grilled cod, stone biter with a tomato crust, fried fish (catfish?), a stuffed plaice roll and perfectly grilled langoustines (which outperformed each we tried in Skagen due to it‘s perfect level of salt and the grilled seafood taste).

30/12/2025: Enjoyed a delicious meal three nights in a row. The pizza is excellent, the pasta could be a little better. The guy behind the counter is very relaxed and they're willing to remake an order if something isn't right. Definitely recommended for all the basketball tournament players.

15/08/2026: It's a lovely restaurant with very good food and generous portions. The restaurant is located right on the fjord/beach. There's a great playground for all ages, so there's plenty of time to play. The view is magnificent!

29/06/2026: We went to Lemvig Kebab House because we were in the mood for kebab. Most of the other guests were eating pizza. The pizzas at the neighboring tables looked good, and the customers seemed happy with them. Ordering was initially difficult, as the menu was only available in Danish, and the staff spoke neither German nor English. After finally placing our order, we had to wait quite a while. It was disappointing that there was no freshly sliced ​​doner kebab. Instead, we could see through the open kitchen that the meat was simply being reheated. It looked as if it had been cooked beforehand and not freshly prepared. The kitchen seemed reasonably clean overall, but a bit messy. It was also unpleasant to see that the three employees were wearing sweaty T-shirts. The kebab itself consisted of flatbread, some salad, the reheated meat, and a light sauce. No other ingredients were included. The taste was rather average. One member of our group stopped eating after seeing a kitchen employee licking their hands. The restrooms were acceptably clean, but clearly showing their age. The overall ambiance was okay, but also noticeably worn. For us, the visit was rather mediocre overall. We wouldn't come again.
