Expensive but great hotel in a good location with very good offers and a good breakfast.

The Griffen Spahotel is a lovely place to spend time at. The hotel is clean, spacious and the spa is amazing. The staff are the most helpful and friendly of any hotel ive ever stayed in. They go out of there way to assist in any way. 1 even took a guest to the airport as the taxi didnt turn in time. I cannot recommend this place highly enough.

Breakfast Fantastic!
Beds comfortable!
Pillows terrible!
Spa nice, just ok.
Rooms terribly boring.
View nice.
The hotel itself looked like a motel.
Breakfast room and dining room terrible design.
Service acceptable but nothing out of the ordinary.
Bornholm beautiful but sleepy on a Friday in May.
Everything closes at 9pm, hardly any food to get after 9pm on a Friday night.
Netto closes at 10pm.
More worth a visit in the summer perhaps.

You may only need one good reason to stay at Griffen, but I will give you 3,
1) book a room with sea views and a balcony. You won’t regret it.
2) the spa is great. 5 different saunas, ice baths, outdoor massage pool, indoor heated pool.
3) the breakfast. Local products, plenty of choices, smoothies and ginger shots.
Staff is friendly and I felt welcomed right away.

I spent four nights at the Griffen Hotel and would like to briefly share my impressions.
1) Staff: All the staff were very nice and friendly. The service in the restaurant was excellent and professional, and I can confirm the same in the spa area.
2) Spa Area: I used the spa area several times and also booked a massage. There was always plenty of drinks and fruit available. The spa area itself is small, but adequate for all guests. However, I didn't find the chairs very comfortable for extended relaxation or sleeping. The massage pleasantly surprised me, as I hadn't expected this level of professionalism in a hotel.
3) Room: My room was sufficiently large for one person, as was the bathroom. The furniture is modern. The room was cleaned daily and was always clean. However, I would like to deduct one star for the room because I personally didn't find the bed very comfortable. I also found it difficult to regulate the room temperature. Although all the radiators were off, I always found the room very warm, so I often opened the window to let in the cool Baltic Sea air.
4) The breakfast was perfectly adequate for me. The selection changed occasionally, which I appreciated since I was there for four days. Again, I'd like to commend the service, which was always attentive and promptly cleared everything away as soon as a table was vacated.
All in all, I can recommend the Griffen Hotel and would definitely return. Thank you for the relaxing holiday.
Clean and tidy but significantly overpriced for what’s on offer. Rooms are like something you’d find in an Ikea display 20 years ago. The spa area is the hotel’s feature and it’s ok at best but really lacks a pool for doing some actual swimming rather than bobbing around on warm water jets. Sea facing rooms obviously have the best view compared to those facing the town overlooking the car park. 15 min walk to the ferry and about the same to town centre’s restaurants & bars.
Limited options from the breakfast buffet.

A nice place with a decent spa. I was missing a warmer water option and I'm fairly sure the massages were unavailable around the new year period

Absolutely fantastic stay!!
We are completely blown away by everything from the unbeatable service to the food, the room and the spa facilities.
They really care about their guests.
We have visited several spa places on Zealand and this place is the best.
We can't recommend the place enough!
I was sold on their steak sandwich for lunch on day one and it only got better from there.
