It's not simply a restaurant, it's an experience! Starting with the elevator, the vegetable garden, the chicken coop, and the very welcoming reception by the staff, followed by delicious dishes which were explained in detail by the chefs. The highlight for me was the dumpling and the dessert! I could eat each one another 100 times! It's also worth trying the Oerstrego Snaps at the end of dinner!

This restaurant is truly a fairytale! It's located inside a greenhouse on the roof of a building, surrounded by a vegetable garden full of vegetables, herbs, and sunflowers. In the greenhouse, there's just one table shared by about 20 people. The food is excellent, well-prepared with locally sourced ingredients. Everything is grown in the surrounding garden, and the fish served comes from local fishermen. Next to the greenhouse, the staff also raise their own chickens and a few rabbits. Everything is organic, including the natural wines offered. The staff are very kind and carefully and lovingly explain each course on the set menu. A truly fascinating experience that I highly recommend!

The place is worth the detour: an urban farm on the top floor of a building, a warm welcome... but that's it! And that's a shame! 234 euros for two with a bottle of wine, why not? But here it's not possible! Total disappointment from start to finish! A cuisine without flavor, bland, without creativity, without enchantment, no taste pleasure! And yet the products are there since they are fresh but not worked and simply placed on the plate. The biggest expectation of our stay is a huge disappointment! Too bad because the concept had everything to delight! Cuisine isn't just invented, it's worked!

We would pay twice for this delightful experience in San Francisco! Similar to Chez Panisse (Michelin restaurant in Berkeley California) in concept of sustainability and celebration of local ingredients with thoughtful pairings and lovely presentation. The garden was exceptionally beautiful.

An excellent social experiment, where culture and collective civic spirit meet to create an unusual shared evening, where cuisine, using locally sourced products, takes center stage. On the rooftop of an anonymous building in Ostebro, this splendid establishment amazed me with dishes that boasted a Michelin-starred touch, yet without excessive flourishes, and where the flavors were clearly distinct. Above all, the first course of "makarel" truly left me breathless. The young, knowledgeable staff and the well-coordinated kitchen brigade are well-matched. Organic wines (nothing special, but that's my problem with this category) and cocktails accompany the dinner, which finally allows you to interact with the Danes sitting next to you. The only slight flaw, in my opinion, was the decision not to change the cutlery during the five courses of the dinner. The price was absolutely justified. Well done, I'll be back for the autumn menu.

The ambiance deserves at least 10 stars! An unforgettable evening with friendly people from all over the world, great food, and a fantastic atmosphere.

Great concept: dining with friends. The roof garden is beautiful, and the ambiance in and around the restaurant is unique. The food was delicious and locally sourced – but we were missing a culinary highlight. The service is also a bit inattentive, which means you have to fight a bit for the right wines.

Gro Spiseri is truly one of the most unique dining experiences I’ve had in Copenhagen. Located on the rooftop of a building, the setting is absolutely stunning — a green oasis above the city, complete with herb and vegetable gardens, and even a small area for rabbits and chickens. It feels more like a charming urban farm than a typical restaurant. The food reflects this commitment to sustainability and freshness: everything comes from local farms, and you can really taste the quality in every bite. Each dish was beautifully prepared, flavorful, and full of character. The atmosphere is relaxed but thoughtful, with a strong connection to nature and community. If you're looking for something special, off the beaten path, and truly local – Gro Spiseri is definitely worth a visit. A perfect combination of great food, sustainability, and a one-of-a-kind location.

Cool location. Right in the middle of the city, on a rooftop among the flowerbeds. We were there as a private party and enjoyed a delicious five-course meal with wine pairing. The service was excellent, and we were well looked after. Thank you for the lovely evening.

A rather unusual restaurant: it's located on the rooftop of a large building where a group of young people manage an urban garden. The atmosphere is magical: flowerbeds full of sunflowers, vegetables, salads, flowers, and there's even a chicken coop. At sunset, it feels like a fairytale. The cuisine is based on natural products, especially from the small town "farm." Everyone sits at a communal table and the menu is a fixed one. Dishes are naturally based on vegetables and ethically caught fish. A European wine list is available. Service is fast, cheerful, and professional. Prices are moderately high.
