My wife and I celebrated our wedding here and were absolutely amazed. The garden rooftop is very beautiful and you can really feel the love for the little details. The atmosphere inside is very cozy, with a little stove to keep you warm and a lot of plants. The staff is absolutely professional and attentive, and at the same time very down-to-earth and friendly. The food and drinks were really delicious, as well - many of our guests called it "pure art" :-) We had a really unique and unforgettable night here and absolutely recommend to experience it, as well!

Gro Spiseri was some of the best food we had during our stay in Denmark! The staff at Gro were very kind and you can tell that everyone is very passionate about their mission and quality food. We had the lunch service and were delighted with all of dishes that were presented. Each one of them was fresh, unique, and portioned well. Our meal was well paced and the atmosphere was what can only be described as hygge. It really felt like being welcomed into a small garden party, complete with dining in a greenhouse with fresh tomatoes dangling from overhead. The only comparable experience was dining at Friðheimar in Iceland (which we also enjoyed very much). The restaurant is a bit out of the city center which could be a detractor to some people depending on where you plan your stay in Copenhagen. However, if you are looking to get out of the hustle and bustle of the Copenhagen city center for a meal, I cannot recommend this place enough!

We took 5-Course-Menu for dinner. It was very interesting how they combine the local ingredients. The food was light but flavorful. The dessert was also incredibly good. I will absolutely come back again!

Good fresh food with a hint of experimentation. Really nice garden in the summer! All guests sit at a long table in a greenhouse. It can be a bit cramped.

We visited the restaurant on August 14th with four friends. When we arrived on time, we had to wait 30 minutes because the table was not ready yet. This was not a problem, as we could enjoy the beautiful garden, and the location is wonderfully situated on the rooftop. We settled in and ordered the 5-course menu with à la carte wine. As a chef, I understand that the kitchen is very small and has limited options, but one can still serve 26 people simultaneously. The food was generally decent, except for the smoked course, the dessert, and the focaccia, which were very good. However, the portions were too small and unfortunately didn’t satisfy. With portions of this nature, 8-10 courses could have been served. The service was good, but considering we drank three bottles of wine and paid 1,400 DKK, one might expect a bit more in terms of culinary execution. The wines were excellent and special. This is a very professional review from a chef, and I hope you take it into account for the future. I noticed on the plate that the chefs surely have the knowledge and know-how, but including a salad in a 5-course menu with just two lettuce leaves, some fennel blossoms, and preserved tomatoes feels a bit cheeky. I’m typically a personal person, and this is my first review. However, I did not feel that anyone would take my criticism to heart after the meal. Please continue cooking as before, but with larger portions and more flavor and aromas; there should be a bit more taste to it. We had a fantastic evening thanks to the location and the four bottles of wine, and I wish you all the best!

An inspired dining experience inside a glass house on the roof of an old factory and within an urban garden. The five course set menu focuses on danish and organic ingredients, some sourced from the rooftop urban garden. The dinner is accompanied by a exquisite wine pairing and the location makes this a truly unique experience, I like to return to!
