Hallernes Smørrebrød København

We tried several flavours of the smorrebrod which were all super yummy! The lady who served us was friendly and the queue moved quickly. We managed to grab a couple stools to sit at but it was very busy on a Saturday evening!

The salmon smørrebrød was phenomenal! I got excited and bought two kinds to try, but one was extremely filling on its own. Beautifully presented and they were delicious and tasted fresh.

I tasted a Danish specialty - smorrebrod in several variants - fresh and very tasty.

I enoyed it as usual, it's something you must try while visiting Copenhagen.

We arrived shortly after opening on Friday around 11 am; there was no wait and plenty of seating. The rolls were freshly made and tasted just as good as they looked. :)

Fantastic selection. Guy behind a counter had infectious smile and great customer service skills. Can’t go wrong with this place 👌🏻 I need to try the hot sandwich next time!

If you’re new to Danish smørrebrød, this is a great place to start. They offer a tasting menu with smaller portions for 155DKK, so you can try several classic combinations without committing to full-sized pieces. We tried the egg & shrimp, roast beef, and chicken salad smørrebrød, and each had its own character. The roast beef was my favorite, while the egg & shrimp was a classic done well. The staff member taking our order and serving us was genuinely friendly, fun to chat with, and happy to explain the different options, which made the experience even better. A relaxed, welcoming spot to get your first proper introduction to Danish smørrebrød. I would definitely come back to try more varieties.

The staff said business was very good today, and they only had a few types of open-faced sandwiches left, which seemed to have been sitting out for a while. I thought the taste was okay, but nothing particularly amazing.
