Fantastic cozy inn, beautiful view. The food was really delicious and beautifully presented. Cozy and fresh service, just like our spirit. If we come to these parts again, we will definitely visit the inn again, it is highly recommended 🤩

Vi har efterhånden været på restauranten en del gange. Det er altid velsmagende og flot anrettet. Tjenerne er altid meget imødekommende og venlige. Og ikke at forglemme de smukke omgivelser. De bedste anbefalinger herfra.

En smuk forårsaften blev kronet med et fremragende måltid på Hjarbæk Kro. Månedens menu bestående af friske asparges i hollandaise, havkat tilberedt med selleripure samt dessert var en kulinarisk oplevelse på højeste niveau. Tjener Rikke leverer super service, tilpas opsøgende uden at være påtrængende. Skøn aftenstemning i solnedgangen. Restauranten ligger lidt ved “vejs ende”, men den er bestemt køreturen værd, og vi kommer gerne igen.

11/07/2026: Cozy basement restaurant. The benches are not the most comfortable. The food was delicious. Main course and dessert clearly preferable to the appetizers. Grilled lobster tails with delicious bisque. A little too spicy with its curry notes for me and a little too low acidity. The veal sprat was unfortunately not a hit. The sauce was amazing, but the sprats were not that meaty and consisted primarily of breading. The monkfish tail was a nice little dish, but not the wild flavor profile. The main courses The North Sea cod was amazing. The whole dish beautifully put together and with perfect sauce and vegetables. The veal tenderloin tasted wonderful and the sauce and vegetables were also delicious. The rhubarb strawberry dessert was completely outstanding. Was stuffed, but it's been a long time since I've had something so fantastic and incredibly well-harmonized

09/08/2026: A very good restaurant with a cozy and central location in Viborg. The food was good. We had burgers and fish and chips.
04/08/2026: We went there on two evenings. The food was excellent both times. Pasta, burgers, schnitzel, salmon – you name it. The service was great. The atmosphere inside was very friendly, and the outdoor seating overlooking the lively square was also nice. I recommend the Jacobsen IPA.
