Hotel Hedegaarden Vejle

The hotel has been beautifully renovated and the interior appears modern. The rooms are modern, simple and good. The beds were top notch. In the bathroom, the shower was separated by a glass door - excellent. There is a "motel" feel to the place, as you can only access the rooms from the outside. Many similar hotels have a basement corridor, so you can go directly from the hotel/reception to the room blocks. That would have been a clear advantage. The food - tapas menu - actually didn't have much to do with tapas. The individual small dishes tasted okay, but the whole thing remained "messy". We had been looking forward to the breakfast buffet. It was a disappointment as it was completely crowded when we arrived. We could only sit at another table with other guests. The plates were almost empty - but were later refilled.

We use the hotel when we visit friends. But it suits that purpose perfectly.

Nice place for a course. Good food, nice rooms, friendly staff. Don't sleep - then you won't know the rooms.

Nice hotel, good food and service. Location is very convenient. Close to the exit and access to the highway without hearing it and 10 fast chargers at Circle K. The neighborhood is boring as such.

If you book a gastronomic weekend stay and expect a gastronomic experience, you will be badly disappointed. The reception was poor, the food was mediocre, the rooms were poorly cleaned. We were also unlucky that there was a company Christmas lunch, which meant loud noise and karaoke throughout the dinner both nights. The staff could not state what ingredients the food contained, which is problematic in relation to allergens. The stay was most reminiscent of a motel, with extreme noise from drunk guests shouting and arguing outside our window all night. It is not a place we will visit again.
