Hotel Marienlyst Helsingør

My husband and I needed some pampering and relaxation. And we got that in full at Marienlyst Strandhotel. Delicious food in an excitingly decorated restaurant. Lovely warm spa and swimming pools, both outside and inside. Well-decorated stylish foyer with games and a fire in the fireplace as well as a cornucopia of breakfast buffets. Friendly service everywhere.

Great place, great food, great service, great people

Once again a fantastic stay! Gusmester Gustav delivered a super pleasant saunagus! Restaurant 1861 was also exceptional when they realized that I only eat Carnivore. They were 100% ready to change their 5 course menu. It was absolutely fantastic!

Only reason why the place gets 4 and not 5 stars, is that the bar options are dull when it comes to Beer. No Guinness beer or lager og any special beers. They need to step up that inventory and option. Other than that, it's awesome. Great service and smiles everywhere.

Cool surroundings. Located right on the water, and you can see across to Sweden. Super delicious food and a lovely spa area

When we first came in the door and went towards the reception, we were negatively surprised. All the carpets were dirty. The fabric on the sofas and chairs was dirty with stains. The sofas seemed to be broken, as you "fell" far down into a "hole" in the sofa. On the positive side, the staff was nice and helpful. It was really nice and clean in the spa area and the room was also nice and clean.
