Hotel Marienlyst Helsingør

Lovely stay with fantastic food and good service. Only parking is a let down.

This is my 3rd time at Marienlyst and I love the place and the inviting facilities in the lounge/bar area. The spa department is also really nice, used both indoor and outdoor facilities, however, I would like to say that both the pool and the jacuzzi outside were not particularly warm, it was a bit tame. The floor outside is extremely slippery, as only rubber mats are placed on some of the floor. One guest slipped and fell on the slippery floor and several were about to take the same trip. The food was delicious - we got a pre-ordered 3-course menu, which we could choose from different dishes ourselves. Large delicious breakfast buffet. The room was nice with a terrace - however, the view was right down to the delivery of goods. The double bed was super nice, but the ex-bed was downright miserable. I have never slept so badly in my life, I might as well have slept on the floor. I was lying directly on the springs, so a mattress on top should be the minimum standard.! Honestly, I don't think you can charge money for an extra bed with that standard. So to everyone who books with an extra bed, be careful that it's not near a bed.! All in all, a nice stay if you ignore the extra bed 🙃

Great place! We were upgraded to the better room ( with the great view) because we were frequent guests there. We loved it! 😍

Great location. Dogs are welcome for a fee and we had two with us. Their dog rooms have direct access to the beach so very convenient. There was a dog bed but no water and food bowl so you have to remember that yourself. Unfortunately there is no free parking. We were there on a public holiday and there were a lot of people. We stood in line for a long time to check in. We could have used a review of what is offered in the pool club as we almost missed the sauna on the beach and the steam room with body scrub. There are a lot of young people in the pool club. We ate in the Isabella restaurant and the food was unbeatable and the service friendly and accommodating.

Good big place for company events with a great location and nice rooms. The food was generally top notch, but boring fries for a nice Christmas lunch ruined the overall impression. The fact that guests have to pay for parking is a downer for me.

Marienlyst is a beautiful space with a calm, inviting atmosphere, and we left feeling genuinely refreshed. Our dinner at Isabel’s didn’t quite meet the standard we expected: slow service, a forgotten table, and food that, while pleasant, never fully reached the level the setting promised. Even so, it didn’t overshadow the rest of the experience. We’ll most definitely be returning in due course.

Lovely hotel in a class of its own - lovely interior, with open fireplace, lovely bars, great views etc. Food and buffet are on the better end - albeit with matching prices. Parking can be a challenge Love the Spa and have been there quite a few times. This time - end of Nov. it was simply too cold for my taste. So cold, I left it after just half an hour (even the sauna/steam seemed cool)

Try it, fantastic experience, haven't been there before, but only heard good things. We arrived a little before check in, were offered coffee and cake while we waited for the room. By an older waiter😘 Got our room, what an experience. The staff were smiling and helpful. The food was also so nice, you could choose between several starters and main courses Which we got as a package deal. We will be back soon♥️
