Hotel Svanen Billund

I stayed at Hotel Svanen with my man for 4 nights on July (6.7.-10.7.). The room we had was room 22 and it was supplied with all the needed items (a hairdryer, two trash cans, a TV, a comfy sofa etc). The breakfast buffet was good as well, I particularly liked that we were able to make our own mini waffles with a waffle iron. However our hotel rooms shower/bathroom was a big disappointment. The bathroom had a moldy wet smell and we spotted 4 fly-like insects, possibly drain flies? Some items in the bathroom had something that might have been mold (picture 2: lock on the door, and picture 3: instruction paper). We made sure to keep the door closed as much as possible because of the smell and the flies. This was an inconvenience and it was not a pleasant place to take showers. The location of the hotel was perfect and the hotel staff was very friendly to us. We did make a reservation online to the hotels own restaurant (Restaurant No 8) a day before our reservation. The restaurant was offering adults and childrens buffets and a la carte menu. Upon arrival to the restaurant we saw a sign informing us that buffet for adults was not available that day because of some kind of a private event. It would have been nice to know this before arriving to the restaurant because we had been planning to eat the buffet food. We ended up canceling the dinner reservation and went elsewhere.

A nice hotel with clean and comfortable rooms. This is a good place to stay when visiting Billund for Lego as it is a short walk from both the Lego house and Legoland.

Staff super nice, everybody speaks english, really loved danes and Denmark overall. The hotel is not a hotel, but a motel. Food (breakfest) is bellow average, very cheap, repetetive, scrambled eggs are made not out of eggs but probably some chemical material. Cleaning is only on demand. Rooms are oudated and not 4 stars, its more like 2 stars motel. No ac, nothing much to do here. Prices are very high, its like beeing in Rome, Paris or Barselona in the city center. Left with mix feelings and would recommend to make huge improovements.

Staff is quite kind and accommodating. Rooms themselves are showing a bit of their age and looking a bit "old-school," but the bed was very comfy and the sheets were puffy. The breakfast is quite varied with many good options, food were all tasty. All in all, a heartfelt recommended stay in Billund, Denmark.

Nice hotel with large rooms we had and everything was clean and nice with parking outside the door and close to Legoland and Lalandia. What we were missing is a refrigerator with a freezer compartment and preferably a shelf in the bathroom to put the bag on. Very friendly staff and a good nice bar. The restaurant was nice with a good breakfast. What I was missing on the buffet was a small sign what food was on the buffet table even though there was a note on the table it was not enough. Then it was good that you could choose cleaning every day if you want. But if you have eaten the buffet once you want it the next day a little more mixed

The stay was okay overall. The room was clean and comfortable, though nothing particularly special. The bed was decent, and everything worked as expected. 15-20 mins walk to Legoland .

Nice hotel, only a very short 45 minute walk to Billund Airport. You can also walk to Legoland and Lego House. Restaurant is also good but a bit expensive. Excellent breakfast per the Danish standard.

Very nice hotel. We really liked the place and room. Its our second time in this place. 10min walking distance from the bus stop while if you are coming on your own car then you got the free parking. The place has a very nice vibe. We really like it. Its like a motel. Breakfast is okay. Not too many option but enough to fill your tummy. Good options for kids as well. Mini fridge and many toiletries are missing, surprisingly. You need to pay/ buy if you want to have. No in-room phone to contact reception. Rooms are nice and cosy. Restroom were nice too. We are family of four and our stay was quite comfortable. Services could be improved. Like they didnt clean our room by its own & upon asking they said we havent told them. Legoland and Lalandia is on a walking distance. While legohouse is quite far and usually you can not walk. Recommended. I would not mind to stay here foe third time too.

An unforgettable experience! The restaurant has such a welcoming and relaxing vibe, perfect for both family dinners and special occasions. The service was exceptional—quick, polite, and very professional. The food was simply outstanding. Each dish was prepared with care and had a unique, delicious taste. The presentation was also impressive. It’s clear that the chefs are passionate about what they do. I will definitely be returning and recommending this place to others!

Nice hotel, the room is older, but it was in perfect condition.
