Hotel Vildbjerg Herning

I recently had a baby shower at the hotel. It has been really good all the way through. They have been good for all planning. The service during the christening was really good and really good staff. There wasn't a finger to put on it.

Slight lingering, stuffy, smoky smell in the hotel. The room is reasonably nice, somewhat older. The shower cubicle very small, the curtain stuck up by one during the bath. It's unlikely to be washed after each visit so wonder who I've shared curtains with? We had no idea whether to laugh or cry about the food. Classic Danish evening promised well, the menu was tuna mousse, Danish steak with soft onions and red porridge with cream. The tuna mousse, which was more reminiscent of tuna salad, was served in a semi-soft taco shell decorated with a somewhat acidic dressing and freeze-dried raspberries. The Danish mincemeat was suspiciously the same on all plates, perhaps a frozen product from the wholesaler. It had apparently not seen the shadow of salt and pepper and tasted of absolutely nothing. The gravy was equally bland in taste. The red pudding was semi-warm, the cream hardened and it was decorated with small chocolate balls. It was just creative enough for us. The menu on the second day was almost as tasteless. The tiger prawns for the starter could have done well with some tasty accompaniments, the few lettuce leaves promise. Beer-braised barbecue sticks were tasteless, the paprika sauce didn't taste much either, but the worst part was the totally overcooked broccoli. The cheesecake was very heavy and neutral in taste. The hostess was very attentive to whether anything was eaten. I experienced 2 times that it was loudly said, so that the whole restaurant could hear it, that I hadn't finished eating. It is truly unheard of and inappropriate. Now we've tried it, we won't be back.
