If you are tired of the Danish cold and want a bit of Italian warmth, "Il Mattarello" is the right place to feel at home, high-level products, kindness and professionalism at the right point.... Perhaps the only place to feel at home

Had a lovely visit here on our last day. A small place and seating around the edge, which was nice to be able to watch the process. Were able to see the cool pasta machine churning out fresh pasta. The elderflower spritz was super refreshing and a great addition to the carbonara that we had. The salty pork on top was sublime.

Had a carbonara. Very overpriced at 150 kr., should rather be 90 kr. Tasted good, but needed salt and more guanciale - only got about 10 pieces.

I'm Italian and I can say that's a Very Really Good Italian pasta! The cacio e pepe was delicious and the coffee too! The staff super kind and friendly, the location in the market unic 🤗

Fantastically delicious pasta. Absolutely perfect al dente, and wonderful combination of spices and flavours. And it was all topped off with super good service 😊. I will definitely come in again.

21/03/2025: You sit in a very picturesque spot on the canal with a wonderful view of the boats, the hustle and bustle of the people, and the colorful houses. The food is simple but delicious, with some interesting twists. The servers were very friendly. At times, we felt like they were a bit rushed, for example, when ordering. However, we sat there chatting for a long time after our last espresso, which wasn't a problem. The prices were moderate compared to the rest of Copenhagen.
