Professional staff, delicious pasta and great wine, and undoubtedly creamy tiramisu. Love it. Definitely worth a visit if you’re looking for great Italian cuisine without the need for a fancy setting.

In a corner of busy food market - a great find. Staff is friendly, authentic (Italian!) and their food - simply great. Tried caccio e Pepe and bolognese. Both cooked to perfection with al dente pasta. Well deserved 5 stars. Keep it up.

A charming spot inside a market. Delicious Italian food and excellent service. The carbonara was spectacular. The tiramisu with its perfect mascarpone was perfect. Highly recommended if you're visiting Copenhagen.

It was a very delicious pasta, it was too al dente for us, but it was very good. The staff were also very sweet, we liked it very much. Moreover, the wine was very good.

Pure joy on a plate! I had the carbonara and tiramisu, and both were absolutely outstanding. The carbonara was everything it should be, beautifully balanced, and with a lovely heat from a freshly ground black pepper that gave the sauce real character. The tiramisu was the perfect finale. 🫶🏻 Impossibly light with a silk-smooth texture. I don’t think tiramisu can get better than this. Simply flawless cooking. If you care about authentic Italian food done to perfection, Il Mattarello delivers.

Variety of pasta was good, it wasn’t the best pasta that I’ve ever tried, but they are generous with adding cheese and quite expensive.

Typical "central market" location, with many stalls close to each other. Delicious pasta made with quality ingredients at reasonable Danish prices. Special mention to Andrea, who prepared a pasta dish for my two-year-old son and who I had the opportunity to chat with. Professional and attentive to the customer! Well done!

Brønshøj Bistro

06/10/2025: First time at Brønshøj Bistro. Super delicious food, atmosphere, service and quality... - but unfortunately I was reminded of the same strange mistake that Vanløse Bistro also had the last time I was there: Why should I sit and drink wine from a half-decent water mug? Beer is also served in the same mugs, which is also a bit of a "cheat". Wine in a wine glass, beer in a beer glass. It's a mockery of the wine to just serve it that way and it ruins the experience. Practice
04/09/2025: As German tourists, staying in Brønshøj by accident, we were lucky to have this great place in the neighbourhood. We chose to have the full menu for our last dinner in Copenhagen. The food was just GREAT - every course that was served was so yummy, well prepared and we just loved it. We would definetely recommend this place!!!!! The service was more than friendly and yes, it‘s not a cheap restaurant - but worth every DKK we payed. If we ever come back, we‘d also come back to this wonderful bistro! Danke für diesen schönen Abend!
