Jacobsen - Danish Eating House Vejle

Update: We have eaten here a few times since our last review. Food is still AWESOME - as is the service. Only little thing to point out is, that if you are seated next to the double doors leading in to the adjacent/connected restaurant you are either sitting where the draft is, every time the door is opened - or you get the door “in your face”…. Real bothersome. And some of the waiters are not closing the door behind them - making the draft a steady part of your visit. I hope the management will brief all waiters/waitresses to close the door at all times. Former reviews: This is a very nice “old school” inn (Kro). You can only taste/eat regular Danish Classic meals - which is very nice to try. We were a small party of three. We had a reservation. We got seated immediately and shortly thereafter we could order food and beverages. After about five minutes our beverages and food got served. So not really a long wait, which was nice. We sampled a variety of the dishes and were impressed by them all. The prices are fair compared to the size of each dish. A very nice experience. Definitely a place to visit.

A cozy place with a good atmosphere and at cheap prices.. unfortunately, we weren't quite thrilled with the food.. it lacked flavor and the sauce (Bearnaise) was cold and looked like something they had heated in a micro oven.. service was great..

Cozy place with friendly and fast service. We had roast duck and it seemed a bit fatty, but good with side dishes.

Great experience here, pls be prepared for food quantity, it is huge by all means and delicious as well

One of the best schnitzel I ever had!

Good food, big portions, nice place, service ok

The curry meatball saucy things were really good. My dad loved the Danish beer. The only bad thing is the fried pork (or grilled) hurt my dad’s teeth because it was so hard. Overall this place is really good and I would recommend the curry meatball saucy things.

The food tasted good and was good Fast serving and fast service 😊 well prepared Sweet and friendly staff of young people But the parsley sauce didn't seem to have much flavor Buns in curry, the girlfriend said it was good but the curry sauce rather didn't have enough flavour.
