Jensens Bøfhus Kolding

Good food at reasonable prices.

We visited Jensens Bøfhus for lunch and had bought deals for lunch steak – and the food certainly did not disappoint on that front. The steak was delicious and cooked as desired, the sauce was good and the side dishes went well with it. A solid and tasty lunch. We had also ordered a children's menu with nuggets and fries. Here the food was fine – the nuggets and fries were crispy and tasted good, however, the ketchup was forgotten, and we had to ask for it ourselves. There was a bit of confusion about how many dips were included – the waiter said one, but the kitchen said two. The waiter was a young man who seemed a bit unsure and lacked overview. Unfortunately, this took a toll on the experience, especially because we had to point out that a children's skewer was missing (which was otherwise shown on the menu). The explanation was that they had run out and had instead put three half-boring cucumber slices on the plate – without informing us in advance. In addition, the children's menu was really poorly printed, which made it difficult to read what the options were. The take-away ice cream parlor was a hit and tasted good, but the way it was set up was unfortunately a letdown. It was located under a staircase and inside a wall, right down to knee height. Of course, this is practical for children, but the hygiene did not seem well thought out - it felt a little unhygienic. All in all, it was a good experience in terms of the food itself, especially the lunch buffet, but the service and the children's menu could do with a boost. A place we would like to visit again - but with the hope of a little better control over the details next time.

Very tasty! We made a reservation via the Bøfhus’ website, and our table was ready when we came. We ordered & they were fast! The food was good & well made, and the special offer of the tiramisu was also nice. Really good choice to eat here!

It's also quite interesting, bustling and fun with many activities for everyone to participate in, and there are also many discounted items.

Friendly welcoming staff. Had steak, salad bar and soft ice cream for lunch. Everything was super good. We couldn't find anything to complain about, so don't understand the many negative reviews

The food was fine enough - It's as Jensen's usually is: not a great gastronomic experience, but not bad at all either. (the burger patty was perhaps just too dry)
