The place is very idyllic and romantic. We came for lunch on a very beautiful summer day for Danish standards. We therefore chose to sit outside with a view of the lake. I ordered smørrebrød. Asked the waiter about the size of the pieces, whether they were large. He indicated that he was. Ordered a potato dish and a piece with strong cheese. Both were very tasty, but was a little disappointed with the size. They seemed to be on the smaller side. It didn't ruin the experience, and I will come again. The place is very idyllic and romantic. Nice traditionelle Danish smørrebrød, you won't be disappointed. Always good service.

Delicious eatery, was there in fantastic weather, couldn't have been much better

Beautiful location. Possibility to sit outside under large old trees with a view of the lake.

Booking in advance is advised. I went for the Jægerhusets Stjerneskud. The presentation wasn't super fancy, but the taste was definitely good. I also ordered a pie with nuts as dessert which was great. These types of pies are usually quite cloying but this was not the case. I wish the pie crust had a more golden color though, looked too pale imo. They had no one to lead you to your seat at the foyer, so just walk in and grab a waiter. Not all the seats indoors have a view to the lake, if you want one, make sure to mention it in your booking. Service was surprisingly fast, one of the fastest I've experienced, perhaps because they weren't very full? The restaurant was at the most fantastic location, with a vast option of short to long hiking routes around.

Great service and good food. Atmosphere and decor was top-notch. I was there with a party, so I can't comment on the price.

Beautiful place with a view that is almost impossible to find better in little Denmark

Fabulous place with view of the lake and a small harbour. Fair prices. Large terrace and cosy indoor seating with white tablecloths. Very kind, hospitable and serviceminded staff.

We walked down to the place with our dog, who was allowed to come in. We choose from the lunch menu. The food was very good, and great service. We will come back and get the lunch set menu next time.
