Dining here was a formidable experience, thanks above all to the staff (both service and kitchen), whose warm service and thoughtful presentation made us feel genuinely welcome. They went out of their way to accommodate food restrictions — we even found some of the gluten-free variations more flavorful than the originals. The fish smell of one dish was otherworldly, something I’d happily bottle as a perfume. Pricing is very fair for smaller bites like aperitifs, while the ambitious 15-course menu is certainly a commitment in every dimension (culinary, attention span, financial, ...). The mixed wine-juice pairing was a highlight, with juices adding a creativity and diversity that outshines many wine lists, even alongside some wonderfully unusual bottles.

Always an exciting gastronomic experience.
It is not without reason that Kadeau has a Michelin star. The series of exciting dishes each provide an experience and impress with the creativity and level of detail. What makes the experience something you remember. This time I chose wine from their rather fine glass wine list, and it was a good experience on the wine front as well. My companion chose their non-alcoholic juice menu, which turned out to be exceptionally good. One of the best we have experienced.
The place exudes the feeling of being in summerland and there is the informal atmosphere that suits it. For our taste, it could well need an upgrade to the next level, but that is a matter of taste.
Why am I only giving 4 stars for the food experience? This is because we have been to the restaurant several times in recent years. And 4 of the dishes have been on the menu for the last 4 years. So even though they are really good, we thought it was a bit repetitive.
But if you have not tried Kadeau, it is definitely recommended.

A lovely experience in a relaxed atmosphere. The dishes were creative and tasty, and in line with our request for pescatarian food. Some that stood out in particular were the oyster, the smoked salmon, the raw shrimps and the mussel skewer. Beautiful presentation and great service. It’s certainly pricey, but it was worth it!

for the 2nd time here, again an absolutely amazing experience in a very laid-back beach atmosphere and a unique, stunning location you cannot find anywhere else in the world, hosted by a wonderful and lovely team. Every dish was so delicious and impressive, I will remember this experience and the outstanding and Bornholm-specific dishes and flavours for years to come. Thank you <3

Maybe I was expecting something, but I don't think the experience was worth the money. I'll admit - it was really good, but unfortunately we didn't leave Kadeau with the 'highest' taste and sensory impression, as I have done at other top Danish restaurants. It's hard to put into words why.
The place is fantastic and the interior is beautiful. Not a finger on those things. The only slightly too rustic elements in my opinion were having to go outside in thunder and lightning to go to the toilet, but on a summer evening, it wouldn't bother me at all.
And the food was, overall, of course, exceptionally good, and on a par with other Michelin stars.
A few dishes stood out very, very positively and have found a permanent place in my internal index of wow food experiences, but there were also a number of taste repetitions and a number of "was-that-it?" servings. And then there was a bit of sloppiness among some of the staff, which detracted from the experience.
The night we were there, about half of the staff we met did not speak Danish. That in itself is not a problem, and most of them seemed incredibly competent - but there were two people who stood out negatively. Their presentation of the dishes was incredibly sloppily and the placement of the plates a bit random. In fact, the waiter who had welcomed us (and who was incredibly skilled) had to straighten the plates and turn them so that the dishes were presented the same for all 4 of us. They also were not told what was on the plate, and in fact one of them was told the wrong fish. Details and indifference? Maybe! - But nevertheless small things that detract from the overall experience.
Having said all that, I would always recommend people who are on Bornholm (and who can afford it) to visit Kadeau.

I forbindelse med fejring af rund fødselsdag have vi booket et bord på Kadeau på Bornholm. Den skønneste smukt og velanrettet menu med mange serveringer fastsat af stedet med udgangspunkt i primært det grønne og fisk / skaldyr og mange lokale råvarer. Vi valgte en mixed vin / saft menu, det kan varmt anbefales. En skøn aften hvor smagsløgene blev forkælet, fantastisk god betjening af et internationalt team af tjenere og somelier.
