We sat for some quick lunch! Sandwiches were super delicious and huge! The Florentines was great as well. I would recommend to have menus in English as well.

The coziest place and absolutely fantastic cakes and such sweet staff who are always super service minded and very welcoming 👌🤩 have been there both for brunch, coffee cake and order cake to take home for guests - always good and a really good experience 🤩

Stopped to have a coffee after our train ride from Copenhagen. We stopped here on account of the lovely, cosy hygge style cafeteria we saw through the window. The coffee was good, cannot comment on the pastries but they did look good. Bathrooms are squeaky clean. So what does merit such a low rating? The service. It just plainly sucks, to put it mildly. We were practically the first people in the shop, the girl by the counter stood there looking point blank at us and ignoring us. Fine maybe it's a self service. The coffee is served without sugar or teaspoons. Fine we got it, it's self service (though at 6.50euro per capuccino I would expect otherwise). We go to pay. I wait for her to do something. She ignores me and leaves to talk in the kitchen. She comes again at the counter, (apparently I was invisible) ignores me again, goes elsewhere again, and finally she does acknowledge me. Oh yeah, smiles were forgotten since the day Hamlet died apparently. Enough said.

On a quick stop in Helsingør, I didn't expect to have one of the most delicious Spandauer (Custard Danish) I have ever eaten. Friendly service and a warm atmosphere make Kagefryd a must visit.

Kagefryd is definitely worth a visit if you want to enjoy yourself with a cup of coffee and good cake.
