Considering that the head chef is apparently the only one with a professional education, it's actually impressive how good the place is. There's room for improvement, but the food is tasty and the overall experience is good. Thanks for the food, see you again!

Was there for Sunday brunch. We arrived half an hour before the buffet closed but there was still fresh food. Not a buffet with many dishes but on the other hand of good quality and both tasty and appetizing. Hygiene is high and service good by nice young people.

14/07/2026: All in all, a fantastic experience in the best cafe atmosphere. Super cozy atmosphere and almost like visiting grandparents. The home-cured salmon on toast was a real eye-catcher. And the addition of a (maybe two) cold lines of akvavit certainly didn't make it any worse.
12/07/2026: A good cup of coffee in a lovely courtyard. Good and friendly service.

15/08/2026: While Axelhus is no longer the iconic dive bar it once was this sister bar at least offers some better beer alternatives. To Øl on tap, and in the fridge, alongside Brew York. Fed up with fizzy industrial lager? Well then this is the place for you.
04/08/2026: Best service staff, nice girl from Gothenburg. The food was as good as ever. Smørrebrød with egg and shrimp was tasty and good. Breaded fish with fries was highly recommended!
