Disappointing food and service was not the best. But good atmosphere and great area of town

Lovely place with extraordinarily tasty food.

Amazing dinner, some of the best food we have had living in Copenhagen so far. Great service, our favorites were the bikini, the salmon crudo, the flatbread and the quail.

It was our first time at Kanalen but Waiter Lukas made it incredibly easy and comfortable. He took the time to explain the menu to us and recommended how much food to order. He ensured we were informed that the food we ordered will take a little longer to cook because it was meat dishes. The food tasted really good and the portion was decent for the price. Hope the owner appreciates his staff and not lecture them in front of guests. We will be back, thanks!

One Night in Copenhagen It was my first time in Denmark, and I only stayed in Copenhagen for one day. I had to leave for Sweden for work at noon the next day. So, I didn't have any planned itinerary; I just wandered around on my own accord. Staying in the city center, Friday nights were especially lively, with restaurants packed with locals and tourists. Looking for a place to eat, I found several well-regarded restaurants sold out. Crossing a bridge, I saw this little red house. Besides the rainbow in the sky, I also saw a chef cooking in the window. I went over to check it out. It turned out to be a small restaurant, a Michelin-starred restaurant for years, with very affordable prices. I thought, "There's no way they'll get a table!" But how could I know without trying? I pushed the door open and walked in. The restaurant was bustling with customers, but one table for six was canceled, leaving me, lucky me, to sit alone at the large table. The food at this restaurant is affordable, but the portions are smaller, allowing you to enjoy more. I'd describe the style as somewhere between casual and fine dining, with a relaxed atmosphere and service. You can enjoy five or six courses, from appetizer to dessert, all the way through. For starters, I ordered three: oysters, beef carpaccio, and flatbread. The flatbread was especially special. I thought it was a grilled steak by mistake, and it was completely unrecognizable as bread! It was delicious! The sauce used on the carpaccio was also very stylish. For seafood, I ordered grilled langoustine, which was perfectly grilled. The main course was roasted Iberico pork with corn, which had a subtle spice from black pepper. For dessert, I chose an English dessert called Eton mess, which is ice cream, sugar cookies, and cranberries. It was quite unique. This was a great dining experience. While the food wasn't the most elaborate or spectacular, the flavors of each dish were memorable and just right. Fortunately, I am still quite the "foodie" now, which allowed me to discover this small restaurant that would not appear unless you zoom in on Google Maps.

Cenamos aquí un grupo de cuatro adultos. El restaurante cuenta con asientos tanto en el interior como al aire libre. Esperamos un par de minutos antes de que alguien nos saludara y nos dieran una linda mesa adentro. El menú en sí explica cuántos platos pequeños debes pedir por persona, pero sería bueno que el servidor diera más detalles sobre el tamaño de los platos cuando te entrega el menú. La comida es muy buena pero hay algunos platos que necesitan mejorar. Las vieiras no están enteras, sino cortadas en dos o tres trozos, por lo que en realidad solo obtienes una vieira por plato y, por el precio, ¡es muy caro! El plato en sí no tiene sabor y no lo volvería a pedir. Los popadoms tienen un sabor delicioso, pero lamentablemente se ablandan demasiado con la salsa de encima y no quedan tan crujientes como deberían servirse. En el menú, la sección se llama 'verduras', sin embargo, incluía pasta con champiñones, lo cual era extraño. La forma en que el restaurante sirve la comida es muy buena y la divide en platos para que no tengas muchos platos en la mesa de una sola vez. El personal es amable y un activo para el restaurante, y el menú ofrece muchas opciones.

¡Tuvimos una cena maravillosa aquí! Nuestra familia de seis tuvo suerte con una reserva de último momento y todos coincidieron en que fue nuestra mejor comida en Copenhague. Servicio increíble, ambiente encantador, excelente vino y comida. ¡Muy recomendable!
