Københavneren Helsingør

We stumbled upon it by chance after visiting the Castle. Very nice place and welcoming atmosphere, we asked if it was possible to eat despite the time and they said yes. The typical dishes are excellent, the service is fast and courteous. Slightly lower prices than Copenhagen and even better quality.

Unfortunately the kitchen was closed. But I think that would have been good. Great environment and nice people.

Lovely place with fine Danish classic dishes. Cozy outdoor seating and lovely indoor bar.

Nous avons déjeuné au restaurant Københavneren – l'une des plus anciennes adresses de la ville, datant de 1861 – lors de notre passage à Helsingør en mai 2024. Ambiance typique de taverne/brasserie danoise, avec un accueil efficace et un service rapide. La carte propose toutes les spécialités danoises, accompagnées de photos pour éviter toute hésitation – un plus très appréciable. La cuisine est traditionnelle, sans prétention, mais bien exécutée et savoureuse. Idéal pour un déjeuner simple et gourmand. Le rapport qualité/prix est tout à fait raisonnable, surtout dans un pays où les prix peuvent vite grimper. Une sympathique adresse à retenir à Helsingør, parfaite pour un repas entre amis ou en famille après une journée de visite dans cette charmante ville côtière.

We had lunch at the Københavneren restaurant – one of the oldest addresses in the city, dating from 1861 – during our visit to Helsingør in May 2024. Typical Danish tavern/brewery atmosphere, with an efficient welcome and fast service. The menu offers all Danish specialties, accompanied by photos to avoid any hesitation – a very nice plus. The cuisine is traditional, unpretentious, but well executed and tasty. Ideal for a simple and delicious lunch. The quality/price ratio is quite reasonable, especially in a country where prices can quickly rise. A nice place to remember in Helsingør, perfect for a meal with friends or family after a day of visiting this charming coastal town.

Nice little restaurant with exciting curiosities. Ate buttered bread which was very tasty.

Underbart kryp in, som är originellt och med en touch av det gamla som varit. Vi fick plats på den idylliska bakgården! Hur bra var inte det!????? Underbart! Supertrevlig personal, fantastiks smörrebröd och god dryck !! Vi kommer igen!
