Københavneren Helsingør

We had lunch at the Københavneren restaurant – one of the oldest addresses in the city, dating from 1861 – during our visit to Helsingør in May 2024. Typical Danish tavern/brewery atmosphere, with an efficient welcome and fast service. The menu offers all Danish specialties, accompanied by photos to avoid any hesitation – a very nice plus. The cuisine is traditional, unpretentious, but well executed and tasty. Ideal for a simple and delicious lunch. The quality/price ratio is quite reasonable, especially in a country where prices can quickly rise. A nice place to remember in Helsingør, perfect for a meal with friends or family after a day of visiting this charming coastal town.

Highly recommended site, with affordable prices even if it is Denmark. The service was very good, and the food was really good. We arrived without a reservation, and there was space, and shortly after, the place was full! The waiter recommended a regional beer, very smooth and very delicious! 😋

We loved the atmosphere here, and the cosy little courtyard, and the prettiest little toilet ( the toilet is not wheelchair accessible) .. and best of all, the bar has a smoking section, with a glass divider.. Perfect!!
