Cinnamon snail had such a nice lamination and caramelization.
One of the top bakeries in copenhagen.

I haven’t found better sourdough bread, than here. I’ve tried many bakeries, but this one is the best so far.

Together with Juno, this is Copenhagen's best bakery.
If you are looking for the top of the line in baking, then Juno has been the place to visit.
However, not everyone lives close to Juno, so it requires a bit of an excursion.
But now the western part of the city has got a bakery that delivers just as high class.
However, it should be mentioned that there is a difference between the two bakeries.
At Juno, the arrow often points towards France, and at Copenhagen's bakery, the arrow points towards Denmark and our culture within the baking industry. A culture that has been bastardized over time, with powder, margarine and quick bake-off solutions: we have forgotten where we come from, what a home-cooked vanilla cream with a real vanilla pod tastes like and what pastry rolled in butter tastes like.
And oh, how good it tastes.
The price at Copenhagen Bakery is on the high end. Just like it is in the rest of the city.
The price of the infamous pretzel, got a turn in the tabloid, and the bakery was seen as snobbish.
To that, I just want to say that you can buy a piece of pretzel for DKK 40. And that piece corresponds more or less to what you get if you buy a piece of pastry. So I rate the price as fine.
In addition to thinking in terms of quantity, I would also like to mention quality. Because shut up, that pretzel just tastes good.
Mardi Gras buns ditto. Especially the pretzel version, which contains alcohol. A real grown-up piece of baked goods that tastes heavenly!
Their sourdough buns are among the best in town.
You can buy them buttered and they are neither stingy with cheese nor butter - it's lovely.
If you want to give it the extra gas, you can also buy fennel salami for your buttered bun. It certainly does not make the experience worse, and must stand as one of my favorite bites in Copenhagen.
The service inside is better than at many other bakeries in Copenhagen. Despite being busy, they manage to meet someone with a smile.
However, I have experienced on several occasions that there has only been one person behind the cash register, and when people have to have buttered buns and coffee. Then it creates a lot of waiting time.

I'd happily stand in a long, slow line in a blizzard for this absurdly expensive and absolutely absurdly good Mardi Gras bun again! The prunes! That rum cream! The crispy, crunchy “bun”.

INCREDIBLE fastelavnsbolle (old fashioned).
A bit pricey but worth it for the quality and many dimensional flavours!

Lovely bakery, had my first fastelavnsbolle of the season: 50kr, hefty price but delicious and worth every krone!!
Shame that they don’t have more space for indoor seating but the window table makes up for a cozy view as I enjoyed my pastry.
Also like that their sister cafe and ice cream shop is right around the corner, perfect spot to enjoy a good treat and coffee during summer time.
Will be visiting again!

Tried their bun with cheese, bun with salami, kringle and walnut honey bread. I am so happy to have found this bakery and am still blown away by this high level of quality and friendliness. Will definitely come back again.
Firstly the service was great, which is far from common on the Copenhagen baked goods scene.
We tried the cardamom bun, cinnamon bun, brunsviger & kringle.
The cinnamon bun & brunsviger was really good and in many ways the highlight with great flavour and texture.
The kringle pastry was lovely, crunchy and flaky on the outside, while soft on the inside, the filling was not my cup of tea though.
Finally the cardamom bun, the dough itself was great, but it was low on flavouring which made it a bit boring in comparison to the likes of the cinnamon bun.
