We stopped by on Saturday 7/6
Expectations were high, as we had heard good things about the place. Unfortunately, the disappointment started already upon arrival.
We had booked a table for 1845, but had to wait 20 before we were shown to our table. It took another 20 before we were served and by the time our drinks arrived, almost an hour had passed.
The food (2* tapas) started well with a deliciously well-balanced butter chicken and a delicious shrimp, unfortunately the rest was affected by the hustle and bustle that could be felt in the restaurant. The remaining dishes lacked seasoning to a great extent and both the lamb and chicken65 were overcooked and had almost no temperature. The salad that came with it falls completely outside the slice and is a bit unnecessary filling. The salsa/chutney, on the other hand, were good.
We finally chose an Indian dessert consisting of a scoop of vanilla ice cream and a small spherical cake. If we weren't already a little disappointed, then this one was. 59kr for a small scoop of half-melted vanilla ice cream with a tiny piece of cake is unheard of. Rarely have we left a restaurant with the feeling of being taken by the nose when it came to dessert.
Unfortunately a disappointing evening, especially in terms of price and quality. It seemed like the potential was there, but maybe they took in too much this particular evening.
Our absolute favorite place – and a restaurant we always return to! The flavors are authentic, the spices perfectly balanced, and the atmosphere is warm and inviting. The best Indian cuisine we've ever had!
