One of the few Thai restaurants with a Michelin star. It’s a blend of traditional and some fusion mix of Thai food. We had the 6 course menu. The concept starts with a mix of snacks while you are in the main lobby of the restaurant and then you are ushered to the main dining room for the 6 course menu.
The menu includes a soup, some sea food dishes and ends up with a meat dish followed by a dessert. The service is good / and attentive and expected for a Michelin star restaurant. The wines choices are good too and they have Riesling to start / followed by wine pairings if Chardonnay / Rose wine and Red Italian wine with the main meat dish.
There is some innovation/ some dishes are delicious and overall the experience is a good one. It’s also decent and reasonably priced as compared to other various Michelin starred restaurants in Copenhagen/ or any other big European metropolis.
Soup to begin with was delicious, one of the salmon and caviar dish was excellent and so was the meat with rice as a final main course.
I would say overall worth a visit especially if you want a break from Nordic cuisines and want something spicy and Asian.
Wine pairing is decent and if you don’t mind the additional cost then I would recommend.
Meal for 2 is easily 400 euros without wine pairings.
Verdict 4/5

We recently had the pleasure of dining at Kiin Kiin in Copenhagen, and it was an unforgettable experience. From the moment we walked in, we were impressed by the warm and inviting atmosphere. The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating, especially towards our toddler. They even went above and beyond to prepare a special meal that she enjoyed.
The food itself was simply amazing. Each dish was a work of art, beautifully presented and bursting with unique and exciting flavors. We were taken on a culinary journey through Thai cuisine, with each bite offering a new and delightful surprise.

Wonderfully delicious and entertaining, we got the 8 course menu with wine pairing and each pairing was super well planned including many different kinds of wine that were explained by the servers. The mood the entire evening was high and they really made you feel wellcome.
Each meal was a conversation opener and the fusion(ish) style of their cooking made you learn a lot about thai cuisine without having to feel overwhelmed. The textures and smells were fun and delicious, and i did not leave hungry :)

Been a couple of years since my last visit to KiinKiin. Never made the effort to write a review the other times, but this visit surely deserves a review. The appetizers were amazing, all main course servings were equally incredible. I’ve been fortunate enough to eat at Geranium, Sukibayashi Jiro and several other 1, 2 and 3 Michelin star restaurants in Denmark and Japan in my life, but Saturday was the first time I walked out of a Michelin level establishments, satisfied with the value to feeling full to tasting buds being entertained and to getting excellent service ratio on point. It was just fantastic!
The servers were the best I have had, they made it feel a lot less pretentious than what it sometimes can be at high end restaurants, while still bringing it on every engagement. Hands down the best Michelin level gastronomy experience I’ve had in a long time!
The only blemish on the evening was the fact that they charge you kr. 50,- for water per person. Really bothersome. Raise your prices by 50,- or a 100,- for that matter and stop the silliness. It’s almost like taking a taxi and the driver just have to detour the last km to run the meter up a few kroners. It’s not the cost, it’s just the matter of doing it that irritates you. We were a party of 4, one full wine menu, one had single glasses of wine and then 2 drank water. They served us 4 water, despite making it clear who was drinking what. And then comes the bill and whopti, 4x50,- for water. The 2 wine drinkers never touched their water, and the two water drinkers didn’t even drink enough to refill. The kind waiter of our tables asked me if I had any reservations to the bill, I did and objected to the two extra waters. He instantly got them removed with out debate.
I just feel it to be so petty to charge water when your customers spend 7.000,- kroners on a dinner!
Conclusion: Awesome diverse staff, they were all amazing! Food was better than I have ever had at KiinKiin! I left full and for the first time in a Michelin level restaurant and I really wanted to come back the next day!

The experience was very nice: you start downstairs with appetizers and go upstairs for the mains. The food was very good, though maybe I expected it’d be more memorable

Actually discovered it by chance but we were totally amazed. “Food” is celebrated authentically here. It has its price, but it's absolutely ok for what you get there in terms of service and food. We have NEVER eaten as well as we did that evening. We enjoyed a three hour evening without a dull moment. Big praise to the entire team.

Loved this place. Flavors incredible. Service stellar. Food wonderful. Think perhaps these flavors are not for people who don’t already love very dynamic combinations of ginger,
garlic, chili, lemongrass, and fish oil. We absolutely adored everything.
Well worth the effort to go. Fantastic ambiance. Highly highly recommend.

Truly incredible Thai food start to finish. Anyone who says they had a subpar experience here must have a stick up their a**, respectively. We were dazzled with the continuous spectacular dishes that encompassed both Thai and north Scandinavian cuisine.
Service was prompt, attentive and tailored to dietary restrictions at our table. The food was both traditional in flavor sense, but elegant in a way that you expect from Michelin style cuisine.
Personal favorites were the Salmon rolls with Tom Kha, the scallop and caramelized pineapple, and the dry aged beef with green curry and eggplant croquette.
I cannot speak enough to the attention to detail on every plate, the love was so incredibly evident in every course. This is one of the best Thai experiences I have ever had, and I hope you get to experience the same.

Ved ankomst ble vi plassert i 1. etg i en lounge. Her fikk vi servert 6 fantastiske snack retter. Anbefales!
