Kinome Review – Beautiful Presentation, Disappointing Taste and Service We visited Kinome and had their 11-course omakase menu, which sounded promising on paper. Unfortunately, the experience did not live up to expectations – neither culinary nor in terms of service. The food: There is no doubt that the dishes are beautiful. The servings were decorated with flowers and presented with a sense of visual appeal. Unfortunately, the taste did not follow suit. The first course – breaded pork – was overwhelmed by a thick deep-fried batter, which made it difficult to taste the meat, which had also become tough and rubbery. The second course, scallops in beetroot/chili sauce, was a positive surprise. A nicely balanced taste – especially since I usually don’t like scallops. The third course, a deep-fried shrimp, suffered from the same problem as the first – too much batter and overcooked. The shrimp were dry, and the dish was even served cold. The small taco with shrimp and avocado was okay, but not memorable. An oyster with finely sliced ​​dried fish followed – here there was simply too much topping, but fortunately most of it could be pushed aside. A bowl of smoked salmon and Chinese radish was presented dramatically with smoke under a lid, but in terms of taste it was a one-sided smoked experience. The sushi was nice and tasty, with a good variety of tuna, salmon and crab. Finally, three small desserts – nice, but not memorable. The service: The start was unfortunate. I ordered a non-alcoholic lychee mojito, which unfortunately tasted fermented and completely wrong. I love lychees and know how it should taste – my girlfriend agreed. When we pointed it out, we were met with a slightly dismissive attitude. The waiter insisted that the drink "always tastes like that", and we were not offered a new one without paying. I ended up just drinking water with the rest of the meal. In general, the service seemed stressed, even though the restaurant was only half full. The dishes were served without much enthusiasm, often just quickly mentioned in a low voice. Summary: Kinome serves beautifully prepared food in a quiet setting, but this does not translate into taste or service. The presentation is nice, but the quality is lacking – both in the culinary and in the guest experience. It ended up being three stars, but it felt more like a two. Unfortunately not a place I want to revisit or recommend further I was disappointed with the drink to start with, that I was not actually motivated to take pictures of the dishes as or were beautiful.

Our dining experience was fantastic! The sushi was exceptionally fresh, expertly prepared, and beautifully presented. Every bite was delicious. The service was just as impressive—the staff was warm, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed. Highly recommend!

Restauranten er lille og japansk indrettet, dvs. lidt minimalistisk. MEN; maden er fremragende. Vi havde en deal med 11 serveringer, og den levede på alle måder op til vore forventninger, og kan varmt anbefales. Lokalet rummer plads til ca 25 gæster, og vi var denne hverdagsaften vel omkring 15 gæster. Med kun en tjener, som i øvrigt kun kunne engelsk, havde hun travlt, men alt gik fint, og blev serveret i meget fint tempo. Desværre missede vi lidt ved præsentationen idet det var engelsk, pyt, det smagte fantastisk. Alle retter spændende serveret og nye smage fra det asiatiske køkken. Drikkevarer bestilte man via sin smartphone, og fungerede perfekt, til rimelige priser.

Really great 11 course menu. Good taste overall. Cute plates/plating and good mixtures of flavours. The place is also decorated nice and gives a good vibe for how small it is.

We had an exceptional omakase experience at Kinome! The meal included 11 courses in total, and each dish was beautifully presented. We started with a delightfully crispy small dish, followed by an impressive set of sushi, and ended with three exquisite desserts. The ambiance was cozy and intimate, as the restaurant is quite small, which added to the charm. The service was top-notch, with the staff being incredibly attentive throughout the meal. We left the restaurant with full, happy stomachs and feeling completely satisfied. It was a truly memorable dining experience. Highly recommended

Vi fik restaurantens 11 retters tasting menu, alle retterne var lækre og delikate. Retterne var flot anrettet og pyntet på fine tallerkner. Serveringen var i top og maden kom i et tilpas tempo. Restauranten ser ved første øjekast ikke ud af meget, men når man får sat sig til rette kan man nyde indretningen og de flotte dekorationer med blomster i loftet med mere. Vi var alle tre meget tilfredse med vores besøg på Kinome og kommer gerne igen.
