Hands down one of the top 10 dining experiences I have had. Well deserved if the Michelin stars they have. It’s an experience but well worth the time and money

Kong Hans Kaedler is a restaurant in the premise of where the King of Denmark’s cellar. This is a beautiful restaurant with amazing food and service. This is the best meal of my life, with traditional techniques and things done really well. Table-side service and thoughtful wine pairings. It is a night and meal to remember.

I had been looking forward to visiting Kong Hans Kælder, and it really was a pleasant evening. The food was beautifully presented and tasted really good, and the staff were very attentive without it feeling like too much. The atmosphere was calm and pleasant, so you could really enjoy the evening. It is definitely a place I would like to visit again.

This is a very elegant two-Michelin-star restaurant with a very classic French set menu and different levels of wine pairings, from the traditional to intermediate to prestige. I had the prestige pairing, which was amazing, very high quality picks from Bordeaux and Burgundy, some unique varietals, and of course a Sauternes with dessert. The food itself was delicious, classic French recipes. I really enjoyed the quail with rosemary, and the turbot was probably one of the best turbots I have ever had. The bread is delicious, with decadent butter, and the wagyu beef was also one of the highlights of the night. All the plates were unique enough, but classic enough, to make it a very nice experience. The service was outstanding. Each dish is paired with its own wine, so you are not left guessing whether to save it for the next dish, which lets you fully enjoy each wine. The bottle was placed on the table for every pairing as a reference, which I enjoyed. By the time you get to the cheese cart you are pretty full, but it is worth trying their selection. Be ready for the ending: there are three dessert servings, and the third consists of around twelve different bite-size desserts, so save space. The ambiance is amazing, set in a whitewashed cellar in one of the oldest buildings in Copenhagen.

Located in a convenient walking distance from the city center, this two-Michelin-starred restaurant is housed in a converted old cellar accessed by steps, as its name suggests. The wine menu is quite extensive and excellent. However, like many places in Copenhagen, we found the price to be quite high compared to our experiences at other two and three-Michelin-starred restaurants. The food and desserts served were excellent. The sommelier and service team were particularly impressive. Copenhagen is not a cheap European city, so we recommend keeping this in mind when planning your visit. Overall, we left happy.

An fantastic menu, exceptional ingredients, very friendly service and a great wine selection. A truly memorable experience. However, one thing left a bitter taste: being charged more than DKK 700 for filtered tap water. At a restaurant of this level and price point, I believe water should be a basic courtesy, not an additional revenue stream. A small detail, perhaps, but one that significantly affected an otherwise outstanding experience.

What a way to spend an evening with friends! Outstanding service, creative and delicious food. It took us 5 hours to go through all the courses (by choice). Highly recommend and hope we’ll get to comeback.

What a nice initiative that you can get a pastry here, a real experience. The Madeleine cake was delicious and had lots of fresh vanilla. Yum!

The French girl working there was very thoughtful. She made our meal very enjoyable.
