Kongelundskroen Dragør

The thing I love to do most when I travel is wandering around without following usual routes. I came to this very isolated and remote part of Copenhagen only because I was looking for Thomas Dambo's sculptures, also discovered by chance looking for things to do in Denmark. And I found this amazing place, the fortress, the beach, the nature, the views. So I decided to eat here and I was served a typical Danish fish dish (I don't remember the name but it's a crouton with three types of fish, herbs collected in the forest and cream of vegetables and mushrooms). An amazing thing. Then I had a slice of apple pie with ice cream (the best of my life) and a delicious filtered coffee in a jug. If I had stayed in Copenhagen visiting castles and museums I would not have discovered any of this.

Another fantastic New Year's Takeaway fatty dinner. Guidance, reminders, bubbles and wreath cake when the menu is picked up. Help with wine menu. With just a few touches, the dishes look like a million when they are prepared at home. Pictures only describe the experience poorly.

It looked super closed from the outside, but it wasn't. Lovely apple pie and coffee. Perfect stop on a long walk. A sign out on the road would give a fivefold increase in walk-ins. Three couples thought they had driven in vain and kept going when it looked closed from the outside.
