Restaurant Kongernes Tisvildeleje serverer lækkert frisk smurt smørrebrød. Man skal være meget sulten, hvis man skal kunne spise mere end de to anbefalede.

Great place for smørebrod! The portions are generous so 1 or 2 are excellent for lunch.

The restaurant is nearby the mainstreet. It’s a nice location and the stuff are aware. The meal was really good, I had the fish, and has a good size, not so much as in other danish restaurants.

Just an afternoon tea on the outdoor covered terrace. Friendly staff, and excellent kitchen!

I would like to rate the place 3.5 stars, but I don't think my lunch experience can pull 4 stars. A lovely "Tisvildetoast" with hand-peeled shrimp was nice for me who never gets over "gentlemen's portions". And it was actually really lovely, very Danish and represented the area well. In the baking summer heat, I can't stand heavy food. A surely sweet Danish 17-year-old guy took the order with the same enthusiasm as homework for the weekend. The glass of Riesling ordered took a few repetitions for the server to bring to the table, "Reisling?" "No, Riesling — the white wine" - "Reisling?" I didn't need more than half a glass, and that was barely what I got for the 45 kr. A glass is 150-180 ml in a restaurant standard. With a little good will, I got a small deciliter. I'm not the type to complain, but most people probably would have.

We came here at lunch time, the restaurant was quiet packed. The service was not really good, the waitress was kind of annoyed by us, did not speak much and was not the fastest. The food was Overall good, fresh and tasty. The Smørebrød was excellent. I would probably come back as the restaurant is nice and the food was good. The service can be improved.
