Kræmmerhuset Bageri og gårdcafé Varde

20/07/2025: Only one of five main courses was left. The restaurant was very nice, and the food was good, although the portion sizes were rather small. We had to wait an hour for our bread.

12/07/2025: This is just what Henne Strand needed. We sat outside in the small, well-decorated and very inviting courtyard/beach garden and had a much-needed time-out while the children were entertained in the 'super-hop' right next door. We had a couple of the home-brewed beers and a snack board with root vegetable chips, nuts and olives. The beers were really nice in color and very tasty. The snack board was deliciously arranged and of a very nice size for the price. The beers were surprisingly cheap considering it is a local production. The service could use a boost, however. There is not much attention from the waiters and it is often better to approach the bar with an order.
