A wonderful and authentic experience with the locals. Very welcoming staff and customers.

Dinner at the pier was one of the best experiences ever. The staff was truly friendly and knowledgeable, and the dishes were delicious and authentic—with a special focus on local produce. The atmosphere was top-notch! We'll be back!!

We loved everything about this restaraunt. Amazing food and a lovely spot next to the water front and swans. Couldnt get better for an outdoor seating. My favourite was the grilled mackerel.

I've been coming to la Banchina for the past 5 years. Overall it's a really nice place. I've come for the sauna, breakfast, a cup of coffee and also lunch - I had their fish burger. However, I prefer to come in the winter, early in the morning before they open, jump in the water, and then have breakfast with a cup of coffee and a book. It can quickly get a bit too crowded, and in the summer there's a pronounced "cat walk atmosphere", with tourists filming and taking pictures - but that's just me who doesn't think it's cool. Remember to check the quality of the bathing water. If it's been raining, KK opens the floodgates to the sewer 🫠

A really great spot. Went on two cold autumn days across my trip and had a dip and then enjoyed some tea and coffee. The vibes inside are super cozy in the colder months and the swimming area is nice and quiet, although I know in summer it is much more social and packed. A lovely place to reflect and slow down, the staff are very welcoming too.

La Banchina is magic. Rustic yet refined, it’s a small waterside café + restaurant on Refshaleøen that feels like a secret escape. The food is fresh (fish & veggies), the wine natural, the vibe relaxed, the views of the harbour perfect. Jump in the water, enjoy the wood-fired sauna, and watch the sun set with something tasty in hand. Pure hygge. 

We stumbled across this mini-paradise by chance! What a beautiful place! A gorgeous setting, delicious coffee, and very good service!

La Banchina is one of the most unique spots in Copenhagen — the perfect mix of cozy and vibrant canal-side vibes. Sitting right by the water with a cold beer in hand feels like pure relaxation. The fish burger was excellent: fresh, flavorful, and surprisingly filling. If the weather is warm, you can even take a refreshing dive right into the canal, and for colder days, there’s a sauna that makes the experience extra special. The atmosphere is laid-back, with people lounging by the wooden docks, chatting, and enjoying the sun. Prices are fair for Copenhagen — a great balance between quality and setting. The only thing to keep in mind is the oysters: delicious but pricey, 220 DKK for 6 (about $31–32 USD). Still, the experience makes it worthwhile. Whether you’re looking to relax by the water, grab a tasty bite, or have a drink in a unique setting, La Banchina is absolutely worth a visit!
