The waiters were very friendly and professional. The one who greets patients and shows them to their tables was the complete opposite. The pizzas were very good and the desserts were very generous. A bit pricey, but of course, you're paying for the location.

Restaurant Italia in Tivoli has unfortunately been sailing against the wind for far too long. After repeated changes of ownership, quality control has plummeted, which is reflected in the kitchen. It has become almost impossible to keep up with the chefs, and this has triggered a well-deserved wave of complaints about both cooking and service.
Guests often have to arm themselves with great patience and risk everything from burnt pizza bases to a tough steak or a carpaccio that, most of all, tastes like an old refrigerator.
Although the prices are on the absolute high end for Copenhagen, the rules about sharing food are strictly enforced - they refuse to let you share if there are more than a few of you at the table, only for 2 people for a higher price in addition to a simple pizza.
The experience is best rounded off with a glass of flat soda or sparkling water without bubbles, because the carbonation machine has once again lost its breath.
It is a disproportionately expensive pleasure for food with roots in Sardinia – and not the refined cuisine that is otherwise associated with regions such as Tuscany, Emilia-Romagna, Naples or Rome.
With each change of management, the kitchen has been closed down, although the menu has effectively remained unchanged for over three decades. The "fresh pasta" has in fact been factory-made bronze-stamped pasta or frozen mushroom ravioli, and eventually only the pizzas were left on the menu.
Over time, the quality has dropped so drastically that even a free pizza is no longer tempting; the real mozzarella was at one point replaced by cheddar and cheap factory mozzarella, making the result both oversalted and greasy.
Copenhagen has gradually gained a wealth of fantastic Italian restaurants that are passionate about genuine quality and good ingredients. Restaurant Italia unfortunately remains a horror example of poor quantity at an excessively high price.

You felt like you really just had to finish eating and get out so the table could be ready for the next customer. Not that the service was rude, but just not a very good experience.

Really delicious food and good service.
We got 2 pizzas and a big salad with grilled goat cheese. It's good and fresh ingredients. We were there in the afternoon, so the atmosphere was a bit dull, and there were only a few guests.

Fair priced Italian pizza and pasta inside the famous amusement park Tivoli. Sit inside the restaurant or buy takeaway and sit outside in an area just for that.
