Landal Seawest Varde

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Landal. We had a very beautiful (private) cottage in a lovely spot by a pond. Nice playground for the little ones. The indoor playground is also great fun, and there is a nice tennis court and gym attached. Very well maintained. It is a shame that everything in the plaza closes very early. Swimming pool at 6:00, snack bar at 6:30. The shop often closes at 3:00. Activities like car rentals also close at 3:00. Bowling opens at 3:00 but only stays open until 7:00, and then you have to leave immediately. The same goes for the arcade. We had all bought tokens and weren't even allowed to finish our game while we were in the middle of it. I certainly think that at a park like this, everything should be open until at least 8:00. (Maybe it is the early season?). There is no cozy plaza like we Dutch are used to from Landal. And for a glass of wine, I paid 9.00 one time and 12.00 the next. When checking out, we had to wait until 9 o'clock to hand in our wristbands; fortunately, we were slightly delayed with packing up, otherwise we wouldn't even have been able to leave early. The area is beautiful, supermarkets are reasonably priced and close by.

⭐⭐⭐☆☆ (3/5) Landal Seawest has some good points, but also a few things that could be improved. The price was reasonable, and the swimming pool was definitely a highlight. It’s nice that there are free toys to use in the pool, and the TV in the house was great with Netflix, YouTube, and other streaming services included. However, there were some downsides. The house was not fully cleaned and felt a bit dirty on arrival. The microwave was broken, and the beds/mattresses were quite thin and uncomfortable. The buffet didn’t have many options, and drinks were not included, which was a bit disappointing. The layout of the 6-person house is also not ideal, as it includes a sofa bed instead of proper beds. Window shades didn’t fully close, and one window didn’t have a curtain at all, which made sleeping less comfortable due to sunlight. At the pool, you need to shower without a swimsuit before entering, and there are very few private changing booths, which might not be comfortable for everyone. There are not many activities for adults, but there is a nice play area for kids. Tip: ask for larger wristbands, as the smaller ones can be uncomfortable and hard to put on. Overall, an okay stay with some nice features, but a few improvements would make a big difference.

First time at this Landal park and fine in itself. Multiple facilities available (including swimming pool, climbing wall, sports, fitness, outdoor playground). There is little to nothing for the children to do around the cottages. The cottage was large enough and basically furnished. The showers are really in need of renovation. Shower curtains are really unacceptable in this day and age. The restaurant was open during our visit but had limited capacity. Probably due to the time of year we were there. The menu was fine, and the same goes for the drinks. Delicious pizza and fries with snacks. What was really disappointing were some of the staff on duty in the restaurant. Lack of oversight and poor service. The bar closed early and ordering was (very) difficult on several days. We had met a couple with children who mentioned this as well. We therefore decided to eat at other locations. Overall a nice park and situated in a beautiful location in Denmark.

It was really a great place. You can go bowling, swim, paddle, play minigolf and much more there; it was really super.

A fine stay for a long weekend. Even though all the heaters were off, we found it very warm inside the holiday home. The extractor fan in our cottage was not working. Additionally, curtains are missing from the upper windows in both bedrooms, allowing quite a lot of light to come in. The park has a nice swimming pool. One slide was also broken. Unfortunately, many lockers in the changing rooms were broken. Please note that you have to pay separately for electricity. It is an hour's drive from this accommodation to Legoland.

It's a nice, cozy swimming pool in itself. However, one pool was empty and unusable (the children's pool), and a slide was also out of order. There were small construction sites everywhere. There's definitely room for improvement; if everything were fixed, it could really become a great swimming pool for kids to let off steam.

It was the best vacation I've ever been on 💪
