We came from Copenhagen for the day. After seeing the impressive Viking city of Roskilde, we stopped at this street food restaurant, which I highly recommend. It served one of the best hot dogs we've ever had. Roskilde is known for its hotdogs, and they couldn't have been better. We tried Lene's Smovser, Jyde Hotdog, and Fransk Hotdog. We went back for Lene's Smovser again—it was amazing!

Classic hot dog stand with a high level of service. Large selection of different sausages, different sandwiches - everything you expect from a classic hot dog stand. The location in the middle of Stændertorvet means that there is plenty of outdoor seating, in addition to the tables and chairs at Lenes Streetfood. In addition, a smiling staff that ensures a good experience.

Wir waren mit dem Rad in Roskilde und haben uns bei Lene‘s Streetfood vortrefflich gestärkt. Freundliche, gut gelaunte Bedienung, eine große Auswahl an Hotdogs und das alles sehr zentral gelegen.

They make the best roast pork sandwich I've ever had. Super nice staff and student discount for students. Always worth a visit when you find yourself on the pedestrian street in Roskilde.

Stopped by to try the flæskesteg sandwich. It was raining and there was a nice tent to wait under. The team was professional and friendly, and seemed proud of their stand :) the food was memorably delicious! It felt like every part of this burger was purposefully chosen 😋 I'm looking forward to trying it again!

12/08/2025: Really good experience. Skilled and knowledgeable waiter who understands needs and mood. Really delicious food. Atmosphere gets four stars, as there was only one other table occupied. However, it was a Tuesday when we were there - so it's probably a lot better on other days...
07/08/2025: an absolutely fantastic place with food and service beyond the ordinary! Karina is a fantastic hostess. my sister-in-law books a table for us as we live in Vesthimmerland and we always look forward to hosting the family! was last there on June 27th

Kebab Chili

16/08/2025: There are many young people crowding on the street on Friday evening, there's no room to stand inside the tiny kebab house where two large smiling men sweat over hot plates. Everyone waits their turn to pick up their bags full of freshly cooked goodies. The falafels are fine, served in large chunks of durum bread piled with salad and chili of course (in varying strengths). It's a full meal at a very reasonable price.
01/08/2025: CLEARLY in the Top 3 Kebabs we've ever had! I'll drive 1h to Roskilde next time the need for Kebab arise - the, on the spot, homemade pita (or durum) is just the beginning! The meat is really yummi and the toppings are fresh like, REALLY, fresh! The chili comes in a variety of degrees of hot (to 🔥🥵) but when paired with the tzatziki sauce and hummus it all blends into this super delicious Pita Kebab that is out of this world! The guys take care of you - and sort you out when you (or your family) is confused about what to order! Thank you and see you again! RECOMMENDED!!
