Restaurant Vigen Roskilde

We had a great evening at Vigen, which is a hidden gem with a great view of Roskilde Fjord. We chose a 5-course menu, which came with 2 smaller extra servings. Everything tasted really nice, and the selected wines on the wine menu did not make the experience any less. We can highly recommend this place, where the employees seem happy and attentive.

Disappointing. It's a matter of taste, of course, but I think the open sandwiches were generally too big in size and a bit overloaded with different things. The potato flavor in my potato dish was absent, (maybe it came straight from the fridge), as it was all drowned in dressing and smoked cheese cream (which also didn't taste of anything). Was not at all like the pictures shown on the menu. And the potato was raw inside. The price is like the best places in Copenhagen. Keep it more simple.

Lovely and cozy atmosphere. Fantastically delicious food, where we were constantly surprised both culinary and visual. We had a super sweet waiter who was very attentive and present enough. Our view was absolutely phenomenal, as we sat in a dome facing the terrace overlooking Roskilde fjord and looking towards Roskilde Cathedral.

Was at Vigen this Whitsun. We were going to a wedding in Roskilde and decided to stay an extra night. We had to find a good place to eat there and the choice fell on Vigen as the menu looked delicious. And I must say that we were not disappointed. We arrive and have a glass of cava on the terrace and enjoy the sun. We are then served 2 snacks that were “just” a little pampering. A 4 and 5 course menu that was just great, good wines and great service from the waiter. We ended up with 2,400,- for two people - and yes, that is a lot of money but the experience was worth it all. We can highly recommend others to go to restaurant Vigen.

Location fantastic, service pleasant and professional. Unfortunately the food was not up to expectations. Hake was overcooked and generally the dishes lacked flavor. The last snack was burnt on the bottom so left the restaurant with a bitter taste in my mouth.

A perfect evening at Vigen: magnificent views of Roskilde and the fjord at sunset, very friendly and knowledgeable hosts, and above all, Michelin-starred cuisine at a reasonable price. You can trust the offered four- or five-course menu and wine recommendations without hesitation. The elaborate amuse-bouches upon arrival were a delicious surprise. Thank you!

Got a four-course menu, which was adapted in the best way possible because one of the guests had a seafood allergy. Really fantastic, well-composed food and the best service. We could easily do that again next time we are in that area.
