A fantastic location with a wonderful view and a cozy atmosphere. The lunch dishes were delicious, lovingly prepared, and truly filling. We had the vegetarian and vegan options. Highly recommended, and along with the museum visit, a wonderful experience during our Danish vacation.

Excellent food with a very good price quality ratio. Fresh ingredients, healthy food, excellent bread served with it. Very friendly people. A must if you go visit one of the most beautiful museums of Europe.

This was overall a great experience! I was impressed but he quality of the food and the waiters, while inattentive, were quite nice. I would recommend the salmon, which is what I had, or the rabbit (which is was my friend had) without reservation. I unfortunately did not get to try the cake I wanted since they were out but I am sure it would have been excellent. The atmosphere was bustling on the day we went, lots of people but relatively subdued as you can expect from an art museum crowd. In the green space they had a DJ playing strange but interesting music to a crowd, and this formed a nice backdrop to the meal.
Great surprise. Excellent food and the best location.

Their bread and salty cream are really good, but the rabbit dish is just normal and the ice cream is okay.

I visit Louisiana from time to time and if I have the chance I always stop by this cafe for a bite to eat. I love the vibe and the view and the food is usually delicious too.

Pros: the staff was super efficient and very helpful and we didn’t have to wait much even though we were there during the Literature Festival
Cons: the food is just a bit too bland ESPECIALLY for that price. And the portions are way too small

I have travelled the world extensively over 40 years. I ate at all restaurants ranging from pop & mom’s to Michelin three stars. This is my honest review of the restaurant inside the Louisiana Museum in Denmark.
This restaurant is located inside the museum, which makes it a convenient stop during a visit. It can be difficult to find a table when the museum is busy and especially on rainy days, since the terrace cannot be used and everyone tries to sit inside. It took me about five minutes to get a seat, and then almost ten more minutes before a server came with the menu and took our order — the place seemed a bit understaffed.
We ordered the meatballs and the smoked salmon, both of which were honest, well-prepared dishes, though not a fine dining experience.
What really makes this spot enjoyable is its location between two museum sections, with large windows overlooking the sea and the outer courtyard, where some art pieces are displayed. A nice place to take a break, enjoy the setting, and recharge before continuing the museum visit.
In the afternoon, while visiting the outdoor art exhibit, I also stopped by their coffee stand in the middle of the garden for a coffee and an almond pastry. It was a very pleasant break, and the pastry was surprisingly delicious.

They list more than ten different allergens on the menu so you can be exactly sure about what you’re getting! I had a wonderful gluten-free meal with lovely service and a nice view.
