Simple, unpretentious snack bar attached to the local library and community centre, so there is reading matter available while you wait, and often other activities such as concerts or handicrafts going on. A small bright but sheltered outdoor area away from the traffic, with a playground right beside where you can keep an eye on the little ones while relaxing over a light meal, a very decent espresso, or a beer on tap. Snap up a home-baked cookie before they're sold out. Ices in the summer months. Closes in later afternoon, but parties can be arranged. Service is always friendly and the portions are generous.
