If you want to feel the real spirit of Nordvest in all it's best forms, Lygtens Kro is it! If you are looking for falafel or exquisite dining you will probably not like it here. This place is authentic, raw, and honest. The German food menu is absolutely great! And so are the beers. Would give 6 stars if I could. Cheers

A venerable but tired building houses a very pleasant inn. Great outdoor seating. The staff is down-to-earth, has a high level of service and made us feel welcome, even though we had our second bad trip in terms of food. The first time we went to Lygtens Kro to eat, they were open on Sundays, now the kitchen is busy with wedding catering. We enjoyed Mexican food and bottled beer. All good things come in threes, and next time we will eat.

My husband and I chose Lygtens Kro to hold our wedding party, and it exceeded all expectations!!! fantastic atmosphere, smiling staff who made sure we didn't miss anything and the food was also fantastic <3 I would really recommend this cozy bar/restaurant, both for slightly larger parties but also if you just want a good beer in cozy surroundings

Fantastisk oplevelse. Maden var suveræn. Super sød betjening. Stedet er vild: Flippet, sjovt, underfundigt, aldrig set lignende og elskede det hele.

27/10/2025: Great place, delicious food, and bottled beer, but not the typical stuff. Worth a visit.
24/10/2025: As everyone probably know, any Nordic countries are expensive, specially to eat out. I was looking on Google where to go for danish food without breaking the bank and I saw chicky. The restaurant was literally just few blocks down by my hotel so I went with a friend of mine before they close walking. First the decoration it’s like a very old school US dinner or a Christmas market type, it was so cool and cozy, absolutely awesome. Then we ordered a traditional danish plate recommended by a very friendly and well English spoken waiter. When I’m telling it was delicious it was because indeed was DELICIOUS. I almost lick the plate lol. I recommend this place 100%, I had such a great time and awesome meals at Chick’s.

05/11/2025: One of my favourite places in Copenhagen to enjoy Delicious traditional Danish food. I like to take friends visiting from abroad there. Stegt flæsk and flæskesteg were divine, and portions are generous. Service was a bit cold this time, but probably just bad luck. Centrally located. I highly recommend
04/11/2025: Went for a lunchtime and thoroughly enjoyed their traditional pork roll and beer. The staff were friendly and helpful. The decor is amazing and definitely prefer it over newer eateries.
