Duck was a little dry/overcooked but overall flavor was decent.

The duck hearts were cooked perfectly, tender and fully done just as requested. The foie gras was rich and flavorful, and the quail legs were crispy on the outside while remaining juicy inside. Great food, friendly service, and a wonderful dining experience. Highly recommended!

Ma Poule is one of Copenhagen’s true hidden gems. No gimmicks, no unnecessary theatrics just pure, humble cooking that lets honest, exceptional ingredients speak for themselves. Nathan and his team have created something special. Every dish is rustic, beautifully balanced, and full of flavour, from the perfectly cooked pork to the outstanding sandwiches and charcuterie. You can taste the respect for the produce and the confidence to keep things simple. The atmosphere is warm, relaxed and unpretentious, making you feel like you’ve stumbled upon a place only the locals know. Pair it with a glass of wine or champagne and you’re in for a memorable meal. If you appreciate honest cooking, craftsmanship and genuine hospitality, Ma Poule is a place you simply shouldn’t miss. Love the quail legs and duck hearts. Food is so good I went back within 24 hours for another meal/snack.

This is also another nice place to try food at in the food hall. Customer service is excellent, super friendly and very open to have conversations. They have a lot of options and they cook right in front of you. We have duck lever and duck sandwiches. To me the sandwich was bit dry, but my wife really loved it; so it depends on person to person. Also I felt the duck lever had strong flavour that was not for me, but again my wife loved it; so it will depend on you should you order or not. However, if you are interested please try, you may enjoy it more than I did. Overall it was great experience, I wish I could give 5 stars, but as I didn’t enjoy much I am giving 4 stars as the food were not extra special to me.

I would consider this a must while in Copenhagen. I was still craving the sandwich afterwards and had to go back again before leaving. I ordered a large one to take home with me on a flight, and the man making the sandwiches wrapped it extra well so it would travel well with me.

Duck sandwich is on another level. Absolutely delicious. Definitely recommended...
