It is a really wonderful experience to eat in the food cellar at Koldinghus, the surroundings in the old cellars under the castle are fantastic and very atmospheric, very good and friendly service. Delicious and tasty dishes A really good and lovely experience to go there. We would love to come again another time. 👍🙂❤️

Really nice food, and generally good service. The rye bread in their lunch buffet didn't taste like much, and very thick, solid slices that took a little too much. Other than that, the food was good. The waiter was perhaps a little too eager to clear the table.

I came here quite by chance – I was looking for a restaurant with local cuisine and, without doing any further research, simply reserved a table for two. Not exactly cheap, but worth every penny! Very attentive service and excellent food in a rustic yet fitting atmosphere... wow! Update: I was here again on June 4, 2025. Many thanks to the waiter, Frederick, who made the evening an unforgettable experience with his dedication, humor, and attention to detail! *****+

Superb menu with many exciting flavors and colors. Presented in a very cozy and jovial way.

Fantastic and atmospheric restaurant with 2 really sweet and service minded waiters. Sublime food, only small fault was that the main course meat, which was beef tenderloin, had had a little too much. However, all the side dishes and the other dishes made up for this. For the sake of the atmosphere and the food, this place can be highly recommended. Wine menu is included.

Frokost før vi skulle i badstuen. Man skal lige igennem receptionen til slottet, flinke mennesker og højt humør. Kommer ned i kælderen , mødes af utrolig flink tjener, dejlig afslappet atmosfære. Får et bord i hjørnet op af den rustikke kældervæg, hvor der er sat små stearinlys, hyggeligt. Fik tre retter , fish and chips, Bertel gris og dessert med havtorn rand med is. Det hele sad lige i skabet , et glas hvidvin og en IPA til var perfekt. Det hele til en fornuftig pris. Vi kommer helt klart igen.

Så fik vi prøvet Madkælderen til aften efter vi havde hørt om konceptet en dag vi drak kaffe i Madkælderen. Du kommer kl 1830 og der venter dig en 4 retters med snacks og kaffe. Menuen skifter hver 2. Måned. Vi blev taget imod af en tjener og vist vores bord og fik forklaret konceptet og budt velkommen til et glas godt cava og 2 lækre snacks. Herefter kom 4 retter med tilhørende vine og sluttede med kaffe og avec. Tjenerne var dygtige og præsenterede maden og vinene og sommelieren gik også rundt og skænkede vin og kunne lidt mere om vinene. Super aften med god mad og vine der matchede. Blev ikke blown away men gik gedign god mad med fine detaljer, Vi kommer igen en anden gang.
