Beautiful location in Koldinghuset Castle; nostalgia and a rich history dating back to the 13th century. The restaurant, with its magnificent vaulted ceilings, is incredibly welcoming and serves a delicious and varied lunch. Not cheap, but highly recommended for anyone who wants to sample Danish cuisine!

Dear all. Where do I start....? The evening started with us coming to a closed gate. A little confused we stood there and a guard quickly came to tell us that we would be let in 15 minutes before the booking start. Upon arrival at the restaurant we were immediately greeted by a friendly waiter who welcomed us and showed us a table. Pretty quickly we experienced an engaged waiter who had good stories up his sleeve. The food and wine complimented each other to the utmost. What an evening we had! We clearly felt a good team spirit and that you were more than at work, it is your passion. Thank you to you "our" waiter there at payment, saw and felt that I needed to give a hug as a thank you. You are completely unique. This evening was bigger than we could have ever imagined. THANK YOU!!

We booked a table for the buffet lunch at Madkaelderen last weekend and had a great experience. The buffet looks small initially, but there were actually so many different dishes to try, just in small quantities that are regularly refreshed to make sure the quality of the food stays high. It was great to try some local dishes and everything was really tasty. The service was fantastic too - the staff were attentive and accommodated all our wishes. They even let us open a bottle of our own champage to raise a toast with, which was really kind of them. I can definitely recommend the buffet lunch for a celebration. It's reasonably priced and the quality of the food is excellent. The atmosphere is well-suited to a special celebration too.

Well, i don’t know how to say this.. it’s just really the best place to dine after a wedding. The food, the service, fhe place was just amazing

Great lunch buffet, should have just had coffee and cake, but the buffet looked and smelled so good we fell in 😂 freshly baked bread and too much to choose from = overstuffed

For the price the selection is too small. Rib roast and meatballs a bit too traditional for the place. The quality of the food is top notch.
