Christiania, of course, thrives on its history, but the old charm has largely vanished. Nevertheless, the café is worth a visit for a relaxing atmosphere (no alcohol, but joints are allowed) when the weather is nice.

Moon Fisher is a wonderful lifelong coffee shop, perfectly located in the centre of Christiania and they have a great selection of hot and cold drinks and a decent selection of snacks. The staff are friendly and obliging and the whole place was a laid back, friendly atmosphere.

Good lunch at reasonable prices with surprisingly good buns and cake. Super nice staff. A lively place with an atmosphere that includes people smoking, playing pool and talking loudly. However, there is plenty of opportunity to sit outside if this does not appeal to you. A solid option for a lunch break when you are at Christania.

28/05/2026: They were super busy when we walked in for dinner, we didn’t have a reservation but got sat down right away. It was pretty loud but you could still talk, and the service was quite quick. The food and wine were really good, I highly recommend the Bo Kho, Beef ragout w eggnoodles - the beef practically fell apart.

25/10/2025: Food was hot and fresh highly recommend. Good service the man behind the cash register had a positive energy and good prices 150 kr for a menu there is nothing to complain about.
04/10/2025: I ordered a Smokeys Crazy Cheese menu at Smokeys Burger Bar on Vesterbrogade – and it was a top-notch experience! The burger was 10/10, really tasty and juicy, and their fries were just in the cupboard with the perfect amount of salt. There was also some greens, which gave a fresh touch – I don’t know exactly what it was, but it went surprisingly well. The service was also top-notch. The guy at the cashier was super friendly and added both a chili mayo and a gringo mayo for free – it’s just the little things that make a huge difference. Fast service, great atmosphere and really delicious food. Can only recommend Smokeys – here you get both quality, taste and service at a high level 👌🍔🍟
