You don’t go to Michelin star restaurant for bread - but this brioche was best bread in my life😀
The duck they cook in front of you was exceptional, prepared in front of us and finished with a rich sauce made from the duck’s blood pressed in a traditional way. Staff were nice and attentive.
In the end of the night a guestbook was given to us with notes from people who dined here before, it’s an amazing idea as I’m looking forward to come back one day and find message I’ve written 🤭
That was a truly memorable Michelin star experience.

Just beautiful food and one of the the most relaxed Michelin experiences. The restaurant even provided an extra dessert for my wife's birthday which was a lovely touch.

Visiting a Michelin-starred restaurant comes with certain expectations, particularly regarding service and attention to detail. Unfortunately, this establishment fell short in multiple areas.
While the 6 course tasting menu was pleasant but far from exceptional, it failed to stand out compared to other Michelin-starred restaurants I’ve dined at, particularly in London. The execution was solid, but it lacked the ‘wow’ factor that distinguishes truly outstanding fine dining.
Service was inconsistent. Simon, our main waiter, was exceptional and truly elevated the experience. However, the rest of the staff felt unenthusiastic, grumpy, and unwelcoming, which significantly impacted the atmosphere. Certain service elements were lacking, such as failing to remove crumbs before serving dessert and *not properly folding the napkin when stepping away from the table, both of which are standard expectations in refined dining.
Additionally, the table initially offered was next to the open kitchen, which posed an issue. The ventilation was inadequate, leaving diners at risk of walking out smelling like barbecue… an oversight that could easily be corrected with proper extraction systems.
Fortunately, we opted for a window-side table, which provided a much more enjoyable setting and a lovely view over the square.
Overall, the experience was average, not memorable and if not for Simon’s outstanding service, it would have been a thorough disappointment. Michelin recognition should come with a standard of excellence
not just in food, but in ambiance and service.

La comida era excepcional! Lo mejor. Nuestro servicio fue más allá. No solo profesional, sino súper agradable. Respondió a todas las preguntas, acomodó alergias e incluso llevó al chef a charlar. ¡Y la comida era sublime! Teníamos un plato de calamares que era tierno y delicioso, y el cordero era más que magnífico. La trucha era sabrosa y tierna, incluso nuestros peces no - amantes les encantó. El postre era chocolate celestial. Y los vinos eran excepcionales y no demasiado caros para un restaurante de este calibre. Si esta no fue la mejor comida que he tenido, no conozco una mejor. Muy recomendable. Para tu información, teníamos el menú degustación que se requiere para fiestas de más de 6 años , creo, pero que vale cada centavo (y eran muchos centavos ).

Jyder i hovedstaden. Vi havde besluttet at bo på hotellet, og nyde det.
Derfor valgte vi at spise aftensmad på Marchal, og det var en virkelig god oplevelse.
Selvom vi nok ikke skal bo på hotellet igen, så besøger vi gerne restauranten igen.
Vi valgte at købe en flaske champagne, startede med udvalgte snacks. Til hovedret fik vi pighvar. Det var utrolig lækker mad.
