Deluxe version of beef Wellington, a must try. As an art of the table, the dish was partitioned beside the table for the guests. -Dessert 🫐Blueberry and buckwheat ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Not too sweet it’s my highest compliment.

We visited the Marchal Bar and were quite disappointed. The service was negligent and somewhat indifferent—our mint tea arrived tasting only like hot water and ginger until corrected, we had to ask for more to get what we initially ordered, our cola didn’t come the first time, the sparkling water didn’t come the first time, and when it came it was flat. On top of that, the bar food itself lacked any real taste. Overall, we expected a much better experience.

Marchal is one of Copenhagen’s best-known fine dining restaurants and a solid representative of Danish luxury hospitality. I’ve visited several times, and it consistently delivers a refined and enjoyable experience. The food is beautifully prepared — well seasoned, fresh, and elegant from start to finish. Everything served during dinner was executed to a high standard, easily on par with Michelin-starred restaurants across Europe, and in fact better than many I’ve tried elsewhere. The setting is equally pleasant: a clean and well-kept dining room with warm candlelight and charming views over Kongens Nytorv. The champagne selection is excellent and well curated. Service is generally friendly and professional, though there was a slight over-insistence on serving champagne before my main course, which I found unnecessary. That aside, the staff were polished and accommodating throughout. The cocktails were fine but not particularly distinctive — not the highlight compared to the food. Pricing is fair for Copenhagen — certainly not inexpensive, but good value compared to top European dining capitals. The only small critiques would be that tables could be cleared a little faster after guests depart, and the décor, while charming and characteristically Danish, feels a touch dated. Depending on one’s taste, it could be seen as either charmingly traditional or slightly provincial; a subtle refresh could help it compete visually with the top restaurants in Paris or London. Overall, Marchal remains one of Copenhagen’s most dependable luxury dining experiences — elegant, consistent, and quintessentially Danish. It’s a restaurant I’ve returned to many times and will no doubt continue to do so.

The food was good but no major surprises. The wine package was nothing special. The service needs to be improved, we had to ask and then wait a long time for our jackets after we paid and left the table.

We had an amazing anniversary dinner here. My husband had made the reservations several months in advance as we knew we would be in Copenhagen for our anniversary. The restaurant Marchal is located in the historic Hotel D’Angleterre in the city center. The building is gorgeous both inside and out with a fascinating history. The restaurant is quite elegant and people were dressed accordingly. We had a wonderful server who started us with champagne and worked us through the menu with recommendations and answering questions. The restaurant is highly French influenced and the dishes reflected this. Fish, shellfish and caviar figured heavily into our selections, though they are highly known for their duck and other dishes as well. We chose the Danish Turbo fish, that was in season, as our main and it did not disappoint! The fish was mild and perfect and the sauce incredible. Our appetizer choices included salmon cones with caviar and lobster knuckles. For desert, we chose the traditional Crepes Suzette which was prepared table side. It was wonderful with the vanilla ice cream. Our server was wonderful and we enjoyed speaking with her about the food and local ingredients used. She was very warm and knowledgeable. We had a wonderful experience.

If only every fine dining establishment could learn from Marchal. The chef spoke with me personally to help me choose the best dishes based on my dietary restrictions and appetite. The carrot appetizer was spectacular and scrumptious. The turbot entrée was delicate and perfect. I was surprised with a fabulous dairy free dessert. In addition, I was delighted by the fresh mini loaf of sourdough and the excellent olive oil from Spain. The staff were friendly, helpful, patient, professional. If you have a chance to have a fabulous dinner in Copenhagen, be sure to dine at Marchal!

Found our way to the Michelin starred Marchal restaurant. Service was excellent. Food great although smaller portions which is expected of a Michelin restaurant where it’s more about the quality, presentation and taste. Always a pleasure being served correctly and our questions answered

Tidligt i juli besøgte jeg Marchal på D’Angleterre – og som altid var oplevelsen intet mindre end fantastisk. Jeg startede med deres version af østers, som smagte himmelsk. Særligt syren fra hindbærrene ovenpå gav retten en elegant og forfriskende balance. Til forret fik jeg hummer med syltede tomater – en udsøgt kombination, hvor jeg igen især satte pris på det syrlige element, som løftede smagen. Til hovedret valgte jeg for en gangs skyld en vegetarret, asparges med ramsløgssauce – og det var absolut ikke en skuffelse. Tværtimod: en fuldendt ret med dybde og finesse. Servicen var som altid i top. Tjenerne var opmærksomme, høflige og hjælpsomme hele vejen igennem. Da jeg valgte ikke at drikke vin, blev jeg i stedet præsenteret for forskellige juicer, og valget faldt på en frisk grapefrugtjuice, som passede perfekt til måltidet. Alt i alt en fuldkommen oplevelse – intet at klage over. Jeg giver Marchal 5 ud af 5 stjerner, og glæder mig allerede til næste besøg.

Turbot para dos se sirvió frío, así que tuvimos que esperar a una versión frita. El plato principal de espárragos era tan ligero que tuvimos que pedir patatas como complemento. Nuestro comentario final fue, si los inspectores Michelin vinieron hoy el restaurante perdería su estrella.
