There is nothing wrong with the bread. But the level of service! I ordered 4 Mardi Gras buns by phone the other morning. We had invited an old married couple for coffee, so I didn't want to risk them being sold out. Over dinner I then went for a long walk to get the buns. When I got home, I found that there were only 3 buns in the box. I immediately called the store to ask them to refund the DKK 48 a bun costs (!), but was told that I had to come back to the store if I wanted the money. That is unbelievably bad customer service. … A week later, they have apologized for "my bad experience" (but not their bad customer service), and instead of collecting the money from the store, I got a loaf of bread and a cake (although the girl behind the counter didn't think I should have BOTH money AND compensation - so I had to show her the email I had received). What actually happened to customer service in Denmark?

We visited Copenhagen from the USA and stopped it. This lovely bakery several times. Wonderful food wonderful service.

My favourite bakery. All products are of great quality, but the purpurbrød is simply amazing. Most of the products are made on location, the bread is fresh out of the oven and you can see the bakers at work. This is unlike some of the other bakeries that are just distribution centers.

Excellent. Best cardamom bun I've had during my Copenhagen visit. Prices are high but on par with similar places in the city.
