The food was nice considering it's a buffet. The restaurant is very small so there is a quick queue at the buffet and noise. The waiter was really nice and always made sure we had a good time and was good at cleaning up every time we put our dirty plates away. It's expensive for what they serve.

26/08/2025: Absolutely a favorite in Holte, delicious food and excellent service 🤩
19/08/2025: Food and Atmosphere are top notch. The service ( on slow Wednesday!) was anything but. Non attentive, super slow to the point where we were forced to stand up to get the waiter's attention. Embarrassing to be that demonstrative in order catch the eye/ear of one of the waiters. Food and atmosphere are delightful. Because of service, I doubt we'll return, unfortunately.

01/05/2026: My wife called it another version of Blinkende Lygter. Nice staff, nice location, nice atmosphere, big portions, but the fish is not fried in butter, and the asparagus in the chicken salad is completely limp from the can. OK food but not for the price
25/04/2026: If you are looking for classic Danish coziness in the most beautiful surroundings, then Jægerhytten ved Sjælsø in Birkerød is an absolute must. We had a fantastic experience with food that was straight out of the cupboard and an atmosphere that is full of history. It is the perfect place to relax and enjoy the view over the water
