Today it is Nørreport Grill in Herning that will have tested their steak sandwich with gravy. Arrived and ordered immediately at 11.42, 1 large steak sandwich with gravy. At 11.49 the food was served at the table and my first thought was that it looked appetizing and simple. The bun is a standard sesame bun that has been toasted nicely. The steak I would guess is about 130-150 grams of meat and to my great delight the steak was fried from fresh beef. Delicious. The steak tastes quite ok without being flashy, it could have used a little more salt and pepper and I was missing a frying crust. In addition we find beetroot, pickled cucumbers, raw onions, a little roasted onions, remoulade and ketchup. The sauce is definitely homemade and it tastes quite nice and is hot, not a sauce that offends anyone, it could have been stronger for my sake and there could have been more of it. Quite ok Steak sandwich with sauce for DKK 69.- it doesn't offend anyone, good price and fills you up. None of the ingredients are homemade, it could be delicious if the pickled things were home-made.

Really good grill bar. Cozy room with seating and the option to sit outside. The Bacon-Cheese burger with the house dressing is in a class of its own!
