Finally! I've found pastry cakes that taste just as amazing as they did in my childhood 😍 And no, it's not easy these days! I especially recommend the place's strawberry shortcake with an absolutely heavenly mazarin base (35 kr) and a kransekage edge, as well as the potato cake (32 kr), which is of the good old-fashioned kind: i.e. shaped like a delicious, large ball (potato cake) and with lots of delicious cream and vanilla flavor. Mooooms! 😋 No nonsense with a "boat" of water pastry or the like, which has never had anything to do with a caroffel cake. The mousse cake with both Sarah Bernhardt cream and passion fruit mousse certainly made a good impression too. Add to that the sweetest and most smiling service from the girl behind the counter! I can understand why the (regular) customers poured in in a steady stream during the hour we sat in the shop's comfortable chairs and enjoyed the cakes and coffee. Only small complaint: It's served on porcelain plates. Lovely - couldn't we have a real fork too? 🙏 P.s. Their pastries looked super delicious too! I have to go back there, even though I don't live in the Helsingør area... 👏
