Ombord Aalborg

Lovely dining experience with lots of flavor and finesse👌 We had a wonderful experience with both top-class food and wine. The food was beautifully presented and tasted even better than it looked – and that’s saying something! The shooting star was a feast for the eyes with lots of garnishes and delicious details. The crispy fish was perfectly cooked, and the two types of dressings served on the side gave the opportunity to adjust the taste – a lovely detail. The fresh shrimp, salmon, crispy salads and greens on top lifted everything to a really high level. The moules frites were served in a different, slightly more creamy and spicy version than the classic one – and it worked wonderfully. The thick sauce had a lovely depth and flavor, and the fresh herbs on top gave a fresh lift. The root vegetables were a surprising and successful addition – still with bite and lots of flavor. At the bottom was a flavorful soup. The fries were crispy, spicy and perfect with the homemade aioli – a great match for the mussels and a must for the dish. All in all a wonderful, wonderful evening with lovely wine, beautifully prepared food - GREAT. That being said, we have been there before where it wasn't quite as good! Fluctuating quality? .. not this time. We will be back soon.

Really good food. However, the fish on the shooting star was very oily and the edge of the wiener schnitzel was dry, but the rest was very good.

3 dishes 1 portion which was very good. Plaice 1 portion which was also good. 1 fl. rose wine which was sweet & good. 1 fanta. What lets the place down is the price -> Very expensive. Go instead to the restaurants next door which have excellent typical Danish food for half the price and an equally beautiful place right by the pier.

Delicious fresh fish. The service was super friendly. We were allowed to sit on the terrace with our dog, who also received plenty of attention.

A gem on the waterfront. When you step into Ombord at Vestre Bådehavn, you are struck by a maritime and relaxed atmosphere with a view directly to the Limfjord. The decor combines an elegant bistro atmosphere with café coziness and when the sun shines, it is even better on their covered terrace. Honest food with quality. The menu, both lunch and dinner, is composed with a focus on fresh, local ingredients and homemade dishes. The classics get a twist, and it is clearly noticeable that the chefs have an eye for finesse, whether it is moules frites, carpaccio, fish 'n' chips or a juicy steak bearnaise The lunch menu can satisfy both light hunger (e.g. salads or shrimp roll) and larger appetites (burgers and soup). Top-class service The staff is friendly, present and knowledgeable and a visit from the chef to ensure that the experience is in order is not unusual. Good value for money as the price level is reasonable. Starters between 100–130kr., main courses from approx. 180–360kr., and brunch/serving offers make Ombord an attractive whole. Gourmet menus such as 3-course meals for approx. 275–350kr., especially with Early-bird offers, give it extra value. In addition to regular lunch and dinner services, Ombord has special events: Sunday food, Mortensaften with roast duck, bisque & bearnaise offers, and food out of the house and company offers. This shows commitment to offering variety and experiences all year round. Whether it's for a relaxed lunch, a special occasion or a cozy evening by the water, Ombord is definitely worth a visit. A warm recommendation from here. The only small minus is that their tables are not completely stable, but I think the council will fix that soon.

Super good beef steak with fries, vegetables and pepper sauce. Polite service. Very helpful with redeeming smart box gift cards.
