Ombord Aalborg

We ordered whole fried plaice with potatoes, capers, cranberries, burnt lemon, pickled cucumbers and butter sauce. The fish was super delicious and a nice portion for the price. However, we would have preferred a parsley sauce for this dish. The wife got a lemonade that tasted nice and I got a large beer. The service was quite excellent and the atmosphere was cozy. I can recommend the place and the dish.

Delicious and juicy burger with fries, worth five stars. The schnitzel was boring, with a big pile of green peas, it gets three stars. I miss the waiter coming over to the table.

Ate there with my family and there was a good atmosphere, the food was really nice and tasted good. The staff was nice and friendly. The place seemed open and reasonably quiet

Nicely prepared food, polite service. Nice opportunity to sit close to the water, without it being drafty. Nice premises with plenty of space between the tables.

Their OMBORD burger tastes good, good steak. The price may be a bit on the high end, but the restaurant is located in an attractive location on Bådehavnsvej in Aalborg.

Lovely dining experience with lots of flavor and finesse👌 We had a wonderful experience with both top-class food and wine. The food was beautifully presented and tasted even better than it looked – and that’s saying something! The shooting star was a feast for the eyes with lots of garnishes and delicious details. The crispy fish was perfectly cooked, and the two types of dressings served on the side gave the opportunity to adjust the taste – a lovely detail. The fresh shrimp, salmon, crispy salads and greens on top lifted everything to a really high level. The moules frites were served in a different, slightly more creamy and spicy version than the classic one – and it worked wonderfully. The thick sauce had a lovely depth and flavor, and the fresh herbs on top gave a fresh lift. The root vegetables were a surprising and successful addition – still with bite and lots of flavor. At the bottom was a flavorful soup. The fries were crispy, spicy and perfect with the homemade aioli – a great match for the mussels and a must for the dish. All in all a wonderful, wonderful evening with lovely wine, beautifully prepared food - GREAT. That being said, we have been there before where it wasn't quite as good! Fluctuating quality? .. not this time. We will be back soon.
