I just celebrated my 30th birthday at Osteria 98 - and it was simply a wonderful evening. The service, food, drinks and atmosphere were just amazing. My absolute highest recommendations go to the guys here!

Beautiful fresh pasta and great antipasti. I tried the beef ragú which was exquisite. My antipasti was a beautiful stracciatella with asparagus and smoked almonds - fantastic combination. The wine selection is incredible, many with biodynamic qualities and provenance well explained.

We had our first visit to Osteria 98. We were greeted by two smiling, welcoming and committed waiters who had control of the guests, food, wine and could tell us a lot about it. The place is cozy, but small, you sit so incredibly close together, and with the music in the background (which was not as loud as others have described in reviews), a conversation can be a bit difficult to carry on. You have 75 minutes, and you can feel it in the pace. You therefore get the first courses and the first drinks quickly, which is super cool, but we wished we had 15 minutes more, that would have given 5 stars for service. Then it would have felt less rushed. The food is simple, tasty, and fits the price perfectly - and no more than that. The size of the dishes is really nice. We ordered foccacia with olive oil, two starters (tartare and fried artichokes) and two main courses (a pasta and a beef ragu), and we were nicely full. Plus x2 bubbles, x2 red wine, x2 limoncello. Total 950 kr.

Food quality and taste was underwhelming. You cannot book a reservation - unless you know the staff, apparently.

Insanely delicious food! authentic, but at the same time with an innovative twist on some of the dishes. There's not much to complain about, apart from the sometimes long waiting times and a bit too much noise in the room.
